Chapter 13

*A Day Later*

I gripped the seat tighter. "I. Hate. Airplanes," I huffed into the air as I was jamming my eyes shut. A smile started stretching on Danielle's face when I peeked over at her. "I can't believe you guys did this for me. Even though you knew I hated heights." My brows furrowed at the bumpiness we were experiencing. I kept thinking that this was where I was going to die.

"You're fine." I found myself glaring over at Danielle who happily handed me her hand to hold. "You're not going to die." I hesitated before I responded.

"Oh, I'm going to die. I hate heights. It's going to crash and I'll never see anyone again."

Danielle smacked my hand lightly. "Quit it," Danielle laughed. My lip started quivering from nervous as I looked over to her. "At least you didn't get the window seat."

I shot an angry glance over to her. "I did." Danielle let out a joking breath. "I switched you because you didn't want it, remember?"

"Good Samaritan deeds never go unpunished." Her voice seemed happy and cheerful. It reminded me of a little girl dancing in the rain with the sun beating down and a rainbow in the distance, and a big smile on her face.

"This is what I get for being nice?" I let out a breath and squeezed her hand. She let out a small ouch and I smirked. "Good deeds never go unpunished," I mocked her.

I glanced over at her to give her a small smile. "I hate you, you know that?" I stuck my tongue out as the plane smoothed out.

The pilot came over the loudspeaker. "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I just wanted to let you all know that we are about to land in New York City. Thank you for bording Thalia Airlines today and I hope you have safe travels." The pilot sounded American, clearly with his midwestern accent. The sound of it made me realise that I was back in my home country, America. The thought of being on my own turf made me happy. Although I had never been to New York, I knew my home was just a few states away. Now my home is with Harry, someone who had helped raise me alongside my aunt. After thinking about Harry, my mind switched thoughts over to him.

My mind was on Harry the whole time while we were landing. How would he react about me keeping the genders a secret from him? How would the rest of the lads react once they find out? It's not like they're were going to scream at my face or anything, but it was still nice to wonder about how they might react.

I shook my head and noticed that we had landed and getting ready to get off. Danielle released my hand so I did the same for her. She rubbed her hand and told me it would be okay. Getting up once they told us it was okay, I got our bags down from above and handed them to Ell and Danielle.

About an hour later we were sitting in the airport getting mentally prepared for New York. "Do one of you want to call the guys and see where they are? But be casual about it?"

Eleanor was the only one to volunteer and instantly picked up her phone to call Lou. "Hey, babe. What're you up to?" I could hear the smile in her voice before I even looked to her. My eyes scanned the room to take it all in. It was nicely decorated and it gave you a sense of calmness, almost like you could call it a home. "Oh really, you're at the Hotel Beacon? Is it a nice hotel?" I smirked over at her, she was keeping him occupied while Danielle was searching their address. She showed it to me and I typed it into Maps on my phone.

"It's not too far. It's only about an hour drive tops." Danielle's smile revealed her happiness. I gave Eleanor a huge thumbs up.

"What are you going to be doing in about an hour?" I rolled my eyes, if that wasn't obvious then I don't know what was. "Nothing? Well, do you want to skype? Maybe get all the lads in on it too? Sharissa and Danielle really miss Liam and Harry. Plus I miss seeing you and the other guys too." Eleanor was the best one at picking diversions, it's hat makes her Eleanor.
