When Father came to New York after learning of what we did, all he could do was laugh. Seeing his daughter locked up for attempted robbery...well, his reaction was not one I would have thought of.

I thought we could do it, especially when we learned where Gail Peters was staying. We had gotten into the room they were staying at, which just happened to be the same hotel as ours. Jesse thought I was crazy, but I wanted to go look for the key myself. He said there was no way I was going in there by myself.

And Jesse had the nerve to laugh with him.

I have not spoken to either of them since, though Jesse is enjoying telling father all that happened.

Oh, how handsome he is when he smiles...
