Arterius' pov.
Man up? When will I man up?
I never asked myself with that question before.
I had myself lost in thought, that question kept repeating in my head... I can't focus in work.
"Alpha? Is everything alright?" Asked my Beta Jay.
"What?... Oh... Yeah.... Just a little headache It'll ware out soon."
"Well what I think is you need some rest. You haven't sleeping for 2 days straight."
It's true. I didn't sleep two days straight since I want Sen to see the moment he opens his eyes, I'm the one he'll gaze up first.
My body is strong. I am train to endure sleepless nights....
I stood up from my desk and went to the clinic, where my beloved Sen awaits for my return.
But when I got in the room, my rage boiled up in an instant when I saw Sen all awake while smiling at Rex happily. He never smiles like that towards me.
They noticed my presence and their smiles was then lost, and replaced to bitter silence. It made me mad that I uncontrollably grab Rex's collar and was about to punch his face.... But a soft fragile hands grab my fist and pulled it away.
"Stop!" He said.
I looked at Sen and he was in a peak of tears.... Again.
"If you'll hurt Rex ...... I- I- I'll never forgive you!" He said as his voice shuttered.
I pushed Rex away and ordered to wait outside. He quickly did what I said without questions asked.
Now we were alone... In this white room.
"Are you threatning me?" I asked as my voice cool but at the same time holds great dominance.
He didn't answered back and just looked away.
"For now on Rex will no longer be your bodyguard. I'll hire a new one."
He turned his face towards me and looked at me in the eyes.
"No... No! I don't want anyone but Rex as my bodyguard! I don't want anyone else." He said shouting at my face.
"No! And my decision is final! Rex will no longer be seeing you."
I left the room without saying another words. I couldn't look back.... I may change my mind if I do.
When I was out Rex was there waiting patiently.
I ignored him and continued walking....
"If you'll hurt Rex ...... I- I- I'll never forgive you!"
Those words echoed in my head whenever I tried punching this guy. So I just ignored him.
But he was persistent.
"Master." He called me out.
I stoped but didn't look back.
"What!" I said irritated.
"I've overheard your conversation earlier and..... " He suddenly bowed down almost kissing the ground both hands fold facing the floor. "Please let me take care of Sen."
"No." I instantly said.
"Please.... I think you misunderstood our friendship master."
Misunderstood? Friendship?
"What do you mean by that Rex?"
"Me and Sen seems to get along well in the past weeks... I tried my best to put a smile on his face after that night master.... And when you entered the room you were already out range to talk to."
I stayed quite...
Reflecting.....
" He was crying...."
What?
"After those omegas were found and you deciding to hold them each night, Sen was terrified. When I visited him on the fifth night he begged me to help him escape-"
"Did you?" I cut him off.
"No master... I am forever loyal to you.... So please.... Let me take care of Sen. Just like you I cared for him..."
I growled from that last sentence.
"I cared for him as a friend. Nothing more... Nothing less... Please believe me!"
"Why would you go all this trouble Rex?" I asked curious.
"Because he taught me many things master.... Simple things that made me happy... It made me want to face another day with a smile on my face."

"Very well..."
He raised his head with a bright smile on his face, which shocked me. He never smiled like that before.
"Thank you master!"
"Get up and go to him. If anything happens to him it would be your responsibility."
"Yes master."
He went running back to Sen. And I followed him secretly.
"Sen!"
"Rex? What are doing here? I thought-"
"It's okay.... I already talked to master and cleared all misunderstanding between us."
"Thank goodness... So that means-"
"Yes I am still your personal body guard!"
I left satisfied of my decision....
I never thought seeing my mates smile made me horny....
