Really?

You had moved in recently to town and found a job at the local 24/7, they apparently always need one. Your boss never said why on that one, and you were curious, but needed the job so you never asked.

It was your first day and you already had worked as a cashier before so you didn't need to be trained.

You were so bored because of the clouds and call for rain, you only had one customer and they just wanted coffee and a doughnut.

At one, you grew so bored you pulled out your favorite book. You knew your phone wasn't going to provide much entertainment as it was nearly dead. You sighed as you glanced over at it, looking at the charging percent.

Only 25%? I honestly need a new phone soon, it's been there for over an hour.

You sighed even more in annoyance as you open the book at the bookmark.

You soon were seated as you kept reading, chapter after chapter, letting the story come alive in your head.

Soon the ring of the door opening drew you from the story as you glanced up, seeing a new customer.

His appearance was rather nice; tall, skinny, and clearly in to the Gothic scene.  He walked in with his eyes closed, clearly enjoying the store more ten most. Soon his eyes opened and looked dead at you.

You blushed lightly as you hid behind the book, trying to get back into reading.

You shivered lightly as you listened to his boots scrape the floor, going towards the back.

You looked up from your book once more to see him looking at you, and you quickly looked back down and placed the book mark back in the book after finishing up a sentence.

You smiled as you slid the book away from you.

"Will that be all?" You asked as you look at him.

He looked over at the book you slid away and smiled as he placed the cup down.

"Yes, and that is my favorite book you know?"

You couldn't help but grin as you rung him up. "Really? It's mine as well!"

You glanced over at the register screen. "And the total will be two dollar and four cents."

He handed you you four dollars as he picked up his cup.

"Keep the change." He then turned and walked out.

You were stunned a bit but you finished ringing it up and did indeed keep the change.

His voice was for some sticking in your head, even as you read through the rest of your shift, trying to listen more to the rain then his voice.

He just stuck in your mind and you had no clue.

Was it because he was attractive? Or because of his voice? Maybe it was the book.

You kept pondering as you packed up what little stuff you had out.

You checked your phone for any texts and for the percentage.

26%?! What the hell! I am so going to get a new phone once I can afford it, that's just bull bull.

Your steps were rather brisk as the rain was still coming down. Not enough to be considered a very bad storm, but hard enough to soak you if you weren't quick.

Soon your apartment building was in sight and you let out a sigh of relief.

Soon you were greeted to a nice, warm, dry apartment.

After a bit you got in the shower to warm up as you were still slightly cold  from your rained clothing.

You sighed in content as the water poured down you, the heat warming you nicely.

After a while you were soon clothed in your best pj's, the comfiest ones you could find.

Your cat soon jumped up to join you on the bed.

"Oh hello!" You smiled as you pet them, enjoying their purring.

They soon cuddled into your side as you turned on your T.V, grinning as you found your favorite movie, The Shmow.

You continued to pet your cat as your eyes were glued to the screen.

Soon your thoughts drifted back to the customer of earlier,as ads were playing, but you quickly shook him off as the movie returned.

Once the movie was over, you turned off your T.V. and the light in your room.

In the darkness, your thoughts drifted towards him again as you cuddled your cat.

You sighed slightly and closed your eyes, holding your cat close as darkness took over.
