Johnny moved briskly, not wanting to waste a second. He had been watching the cashier for a few weeks now, learning their schedule. He knew that soon their pesky co-worker would come in for shift changes, so he needed to move as he just wanted to talk for a bit.

Soon the wonderful sign was in his vision and a smile tugged at his lips, but he didn't let it win. He dodged a few cars as he crossed the finale street before it was just a few more steps.

Once his leather fingers wrapped around the handle and he pulled it open, his eyes went straight for the counter. Of course, the mysterious cashier was there, reading once again. In the split second, the world felt weird, a good kind of weird. But alias, it didn't last forever as reality set back in.

His feet guided him to the back of the store to grab another heavenly drink, as to not be weird and just walk up to them without a purchase. He looked around the store this time as he filled up the cup, actually noticing some new parts of the store that he never bothered to see. He made a 'hmph' noise as he nodded before grabbing a straw as the lid was already on.

The cashier had put down their book by this point and was smiling once again at him. The world felt weird again, but he got rid of it this time.

"Welcome back to the wonderful 24/7. Is that all your getting?" They joked a bit as they scanned it.

He nodded. "I've been meaning to come in ask you. What are your thoughts about nighttime, more specifically the stars."

Their eyes lit up a bit as their smile turned into a grin that reminded him of Squee whenever Johnny would five him candy. It was such a pure look, it made Johnny a bit happier.

"Oh I love the stars! The way the shine and make the night so pretty. The moon is also amazing but the night in a whole is just so magical and beautiful." They rambled on a bit about their love for the night before blushing.

"I'm so sorry about that, I just really like the night."

Johnny chuckled lightly in amusement at this statement.

"Firstly, it's fine. Second, 'like' is an understatement clearly."

He handed over a five as he grabbed his cup.

"Keep the change again and also." He looked at their book,  Stars and how to read them, he chuckled once more. "I think I may have to read that book."

He left with a smile this time as he drank his freezie, heading for a different destination instead of home.

After a while of walking and hiking, he sighed as he say,  on his car looking down at the city as it started to wake up.

The sun had set on the city and now the night owls were out to play as the city lit up. It was pretty, but not as pretty as the night. The cliff was always a great place to sit and think.

His thoughts were actually rather quiet as he drank this time,  focusing too much on the flavor and the sights, but at the same he wasn't. He was in a weird in between state that was actually some what peaceful.

Johnny noticed he was low on freezie when his gloved hands were warmer then normal when holding the drink. He looked at the cup and shook the small amount left and finished it up before opening his trunk and putting it in the trash bag, slamming the trunk and returning to his spot on the hood.

Once his feet were now propped up is when the thoughts came flooding in.

The face, their voice, everything about the cashier charmed him. The feeling was so weird, but it wasn't the same one as earlier. The feeling from earlier was even harder to explain.
