     You sat there, pondering life before the familiar chime of the door brought you back and you were looking at the gothic man you called your friend.

You went through the usual routine, joking a bit before he asked you about the night time.

You couldn't help but giddy like a child as you started to ramble about the night you just loved. Of course, you shushed yourself before you annoyed him.

He said it was fine and noticed your book, saying he needed to read it. And before anymore could happen, he was gone again.

You couldn't help but wonder where he lived because you never saw him anywhere else. And you had been all around the city, so your only guess was he lived in one of the suburbs near the city and walked to this place, since it sat in the edge of the city.

Of course, your coworker soon came in and you two shared some banter before you went off to your place.

Once the wonderful scent of home hit your nose, a smile appeared on your face as you shut the door.

Your feet were soon on the edge of the couch as you were laying on it, relaxing as you turned on the tv and pulled out your phone.

Soon the weight of your cat on your stomach relaxed you even more and you gently drifted off.

The breeze was soft but carried a chill, the trees gently swayed and the grass danced along with them. You gazed up to look at the beautiful stars, giving a show as the moon glowed as well.

 You soon looked back down and saw the same man from the store, in his usual attire. What was unusual was that he was giving a soft smile as he extended his hand towards you , asking for a dance. You oblige, being swept away in the movement as he led the dance up on the cliff.

Once in a while, you would get a glimpse of the city as you danced. It shown so bright and it dazed you, but it still wasn't as pretty as the stars or as handsome as the man who carried you in this dance of the night.

You soon just closed your eyes and listened to nature as his small frame carried you, keeping you very warm.

Then the threatening sun started to come up, bring this dance to an end.

You looked up at your companion as he looked at you. He then leaned in a placed a kiss on your cheek as reality started to shred into the dream, ripping you from him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You blinked a few times as the raising sun blinded you. Your attention was quietly drawn to your cat licking your cheek as it was hungry and you didn't feed it last night.
You carried it to the kitchen while petting it's head, apologizing profusely about the mistake.
Of course it purred and was even more happy once you set it down, placing their food bowl down as well.
You returned to the living room to retrieve the phone from the floor, casually flipping off the sun for ruining your dance.
Now for the normal getting showered then feeding me. And my question is, why him instead of the normal?
You questioned as you got your things ready for a shower, putting your phone on charge to hope it might do something.
Autopilot lead you as you continued to think, before you accidentally got soap in your eye and cussed quiet a bit to get it out.
Naturally, you laughed at yourself before you finished off the shower, getting dressed in pjs as your shift started latter on in the day.
You flipped to some random channel on your tv as you got a bowl of cereal.
You carefully made it back to your couch and sat down, not wanting to drop the goodness of food.
You had to pause in eating so you could laugh as the commercial of the entire family getting diarrhea came on.  You had straight tears pouring from your face as you horrible wheezed at it.
It was a little strange that it was coming on so late as it was normally a very early morning thing, usually around two in the morning. You had had your fair share of sleepless nights, were the tv became your best friend.
The munch of your cereal in your mouth soon was the background noise to the channel you watched, funny enough was the news. They were reporting on the murders in the past week, and how they were dropping.
You raised your eyebrow as you kept watching.
Did they get more busy? Or are they making us think that they are calming down? Or maybe something else.....
You continued to munch along as you watched, also eager for the weather.
"Today we will be having a rather pleasant day of high 60's! Mid afternoon there will be occasional clouds and later tonight, temperatures may drop." The weather person said in an uncomfortably cheery tone.
You were quick to turn on the tv as your spoon clacked loudly against the now empty bowl.
As you worked on chores, you played music in the background.
Your cat as kept you on your toes as they wanted attention but you needed to clean and do laundry.
But of course, you gave in once in a while to give them ear scratches.  Their purrs would amplify as you did, cause a smile on your face.
They were honestly your world and your only best friend. Sure you had friends, but they were always there for you. Whenever you were depressed or lonely, they were always there. It would kill you if they didn't exist in this world anymore.
You had to pause on the scratching to wipe away some tears as you hadn't realized you started to cry at that thought. The were quick to assault you with more affection, knowing you were upset now.
You laughed as you sat on the floor and they got up on your lap, purring more as they laid there.
"I love you so much." You said in a soft voice as you scratched.
They purred back loudly, and you took it as a reply of 'I love you too'.
