Hope

We hope...

For a better place in life,

For the lack of strife,

For no reason to carry a knife.

They hope...

For a roof over their heads,

For enough food before they go to bed,

For a better life for their children after they're dead.

He hopes...

For someone who loves him for himself,

For a future where too many happy pictures flood his shelf,

For a world that knows him as someone more than just his wealth.

She hopes...

For someone to sweep her off her feet,

To prove that she's someone hard to beat,

To be someone that people wait for before taking a seat.

We hope...

For a world that's not so torn apart,

For people who care and think smart,

For everyone to work from the heart.
