It's that strange feeling,
Of missing something you've never had,
As if part of the wall around your heart is peeling,
Of the knot of tears in your throat when you're sad,
Your ship of sanity is keeling,
That fist of anger in your chest when you're mad,
A smile from someone special that leaves you reeling,
When someone unexpected makes you glad,
Those kisses that one obnoxiously amazing person keeps stealing,
That puzzled question, how could something so beautiful be bad,
The words each day that keep your heart healing,
That terrible, wonderful, scary, frustrating feeling,
That we all know as loveAnd once you felt it,
the world doesn't make more sense
you don't feel complete
you just keep wondering
what is it that I'm looking for?
