Otabek

Otabek was a reporter. He was fired about a month ago for chasing after what he thinks are spies. It was funny that the most he ever spoke up at his old job was about these "spies" and that is what got him him fired in the first place. Otabek was starting to doubt that these spies were real, but all he knew is that something was out there.

It was three months ago, Otabek was almost shot in the head. While visiting Toyko to finish an article, there was a gun shot and a man near Otabek was shot down. Otabek could feel the bullet pass by him in an instant. He looked up to see where it would have come from all he saw was a sparkle. The cops questioned him of what happened and it felt unreal, but it was. Later, Otabek found out that the man shot was carrying two guns and a knife. When Otabek asked the the cops who could've possible done this, one of the cops let the name Viktor Nikiforov slip and immediately. Then, Otabek found out about more strange killings. There had been at least six more killings like this all around Japan. So, Otabek started the article that could have possible ruined his career.

Two months ago, Otabek wrote an article on his opinion about these killings. It took him a while to gather the information, but he finally wrote it. For weeks he would pitch the article to his boss and everyday it would the same response, "Altin, get back to work and stop wasting time on this stupid project." When Otabek would get back to writing different articles, they would all seem too boring and wouldn't continue.

It was at the end of January when Otabek got fired. His boss called him obsessed with things that come from TV shows and movies. It was hard for Otabek, but he managed to cope with this loss. He moved to St. Petersburg, Russia because he had found a newspaper company that likes the kind of writing he has to offer. It's not a big company, but it pays decent. On a different note, St. Petersburg is where he suspects the "spy HQ" is, but Otabek was losing faith. Maybe moving to Russia was a mistake and maybe I'm just chasing fantasies, that was until he met someone.

A week ago, Otabek was asked directions by a kid who looked like he hadn't slept in a week. A teenager with light- blonde hair had asked him for directions to someone's apartment. Otabek who just happened to live shitty apartment complex. So, Otabek showed him to the fifth floor and he left from there. When Otabek asked him who he was planning to see, the boy answered "Viktor Nikiforov, my supposed uncle."

That name again. Viktor Nikiforov, who ever that man is he must be dangerous. Later that same day, Otabek checked to see if anyone by that name lived at the apartment and no one was listed. First he hears this name in Japan and now here. Otabek wasn't sure of a lot of things, but he was sure there something was going to go down.
