Madness // Ruelle

"Draco, I don't think I can do this." I said hesitantly, not wanting to cross over to platform 9 ¾.

"Alya, love, you'll be fine. It's been a whole summer. Things will be different but I'll help you get through this. Don't pay attention to anyone but me, okay?" Draco said, holding my hand.

I stayed with Draco and his family the entire summer. We rarely seen his parents because they were always on some sort of "business trip". I knew the work Draco's parents did, because it was the work my mum did.

The Malfoy family had a long history of loyalty to The Dark Lord, and i knew that. Draco promised  me it would never interfere with us. He also promised i wouldn't be afraid, but i was. I was terrified.

The only good that came out of their little trips, was being able to spend alone time with Draco.

I loved it. I loved being with him every day, seeing a side no one knew but me. It had been an uneventful summer, and I was okay with that. After the year I had, I wanted nothing more than to lounge around all summer and pretend no one but Draco and I existed.

I had been owling Dumbledore once a week discussing the legal matters of being a Potter and what that entailed. I still hadn't discussed it with Draco; it was the only thing I was keeping from him. I was still unsure of what I wanted to do.

Our bodies passed through the auburn brick, and the hustle of feet against the concrete and the sound of screaming parents filled my ears.

"See? Easy."

"Yeah..." I said quietly. "Easy."

We walked towards the back of the train passing all the noise of the excited students, ready for another year. There was no sign of Harry, and I was desperately looking. The Daily Prophet had been running a front-page article nearly the whole summer called "The Boy Who Lies" and it sickened me.

People refused to believe Harry, and hadn't even bother ask me if anything was true

People refused to believe Harry, and hadn't even bother ask me if anything was true. I assume the Malfoy's had paid an immense amount of money to keep my name out of the articles that piled up, but I would rather people know the truth than act like it never happened.
