Derek Hale was on his way to Scott and his best friend Stiles, who needed his help once again, when he found a young girl lying on the dirty, wet ground close to a tree. She didn't move. She seemed to be unconscious. Derek hesitated. He wasn't a fan of helping everyone out who needed help. But he also knew he couldn't just let that girl lay here. He had to bring her to a safe place. The hospital. Derek sighed soft before he hurried toward the girl. He kneeled down and lifted her up easily. It surprised him of how thin she was. And she didn't weigh much either. A slight frown covered his forehead.
He was on his way to the hospital, just a few minutes after he had lifted up the girl, she started to move slightly in his arms. He heard her muttering words, and even though his hearing was better than human's, he couldn't hear what she muttered.
I opened my eyes and blinked. My eyes widened slightly as I saw the face of a guy, which I hadn't expected, of course. The first thing that went through my head was that those scary guys had found me and were taking me back. But than I figured I had never seen this guy before. I wanted to scream, but my body didn't seem to work with me. I tried to move wildly, but all I managed to do were some slight moves. I started to panic. Why wasn't my body working with me? It felt like I was paralized.
After some while I managed to mutter something, but knowing no one would be able to hear it. Mainly because I could barely hear myself. I felt how my cheeks were getting wet.
I tried to move again, and this time my moves were stronger. But, the arms of the guy who was carrying me, were way stronger than I was.
"Let me go," I whispered. I heard how my voice sounded scared like hell.
Derek felt how the girl was moving again, this time her moves were stronger though. Again she whispered something, and this time he was able to hear her. He looked shortly down at the girl, shaking his head.
"You need to go to the hospital," he said calm, but something in his voice made clear not to protest, not to argue with him.
Derek didn't know what, but he had some sort of protective feeling over the girl in his arms. It was weird. He never had had this kind of feeling toward a girl. Unless if it was about his sisters or Paige, and Kate and Jennifer before he had figured out they weren't the women he had thought them to be. Howsoever, he pushed this feeling away. This girl was just a stranger, and he would never see her again after this. But than again, he just couldn't get it out of his head. It really did him something to see her cry, to see her being scared.
"Why are you so scared?" He asked later.
I pressed my lips on each other. "No, no hospital," I started. I heard the tone in the guy's voice that made clear not to argue with him, but I ignored it anyway. That was how I was. At that point, I was much like my older brother. We were both highly stubborn, both annoying on time - well, my brother was pretty much always annoying, that's what a lot of people said at least.
I looked suspicious at the guy when he asked why I was so scared. Why did he want to know that? I narrowed my eyes.
"Why would I tell you?" I asked, with suspiciousness in my eyes. "It's none of your business," I added.
"You're right, never mind," Derek said. He was surprised by the answers the girl gave him. She reminded him of someone. But he couldn't figure out of who. He frowned. He was very curious about this girl, and also that surprised him as well as the fact he had this protective feeling over her.
"Alright, if you don't want to go to the hospital, than were to?" Derek asked the girl after a while.
"Sheriff. Sheriff Stilinski's house," I said.
Derek's frowned again. Why did she want him to bring her to the Sheriff instead of to the hospital? It didn't make sense, at all. The Sheriff would send her to the hospital anyway. He shrugged.
"Alright, Sheriff than," he said.
