It were a few weeks later. Even though I didn't particularly like it, I had to go back to school and catch up. I had missed eight years of education, but thank god I still could go to High School. I would go to Beacon Hills High, the same school as Stiles went to. I was happy with that. This way I knew someone at school.
"You'll be fine Ciara, believe me," Stiles said to calm me down. But, obviously, it didn't help me. All he reached with his words, was getting me even more frustrated.
"But what if I will fail everything? What if people will look weird at me? Do they even know about me? Oh my god."
"Ciara, don't worry," Sheriff said, "you will be fine, really."
I sighed. "I hope you're right.." I muttered soft to dad and Stiles.
I was just so scared people would make fun of me. Or that I would fail to catch up with everything.
Once at school, Stiles' friend Scott greeted us both.
"Hi Ciara!" He said with a smile on his face.
"Hi," I answered, nervous and well, also a bit shy.
"Nervous for today?"
"Tell me all about it," Stiles muttered before I had even realised what Scott had asked me. I rolled my eyes. Scott laughed.
"You don't have to. You'll be fine, I'm sure of it," Scott said with a encouraging tone in his voice.
"Yeah, that's what we've been trying to make that clear to her all the time," Stiles said sarcastic. Again Scott laughed.
"Come on, we'll introduce you to our friends," Stiles said than.
I nodded and followed him and Scott inside the school building.
"... and this is Lydia," Stiles ended. He had just introduced Ciara to his friends, the ones besides Scott. Although Scott was more a brother to him.
"It's nice to meet you, Ciara," Lydia said with a friendly smile.
I smiled back. "It's also nice to meet you," I said back.
"What class do you have first?" Lydia asked Ciara once the boys had started a conversation.
"Uh.." I stuttered, grabbing the schedule Stiles had given me yesterday, out of my purse. I took a look at it. "English."
"Me too," Lydia looked at me. "Can I take a look at your schedule?" I frowned, but than nodded, handing her my schedule.
"I have most classes you have too," she said, "I can walk you around today if you want to?"
"Really?" I asked slightly surprised.
Lydia nodded. "Yeah sure, why not?" She said smiling.
And so this Lydia went with me to every class. She helped me out whenever I needed her help. Just like my dad and Stiles had told me; I'd be fine today. Maybe going to school wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. Lydia was very nice to me, at least. And so were those other two girls, Kira and Malia.
"Hey Ciara, wait!"
I turned around when I heard Kira shouting my name through the hall way when I was on my way to my locker to grab my stuff. I wondered why she wanted me to wait.
"What's up?" I asked her curious.
Kira smiled. "I was wondering if you would like to hang out with us girls?"
I cocked my head slightly. "Tell me more..?" I asked with a frown.
"I'm sorry.. I mean, we, Lydia, Malia and I were wondering if you would like to come over at my place this weekend. We were planning, you know, a typical girl's night," Kira said in an enthusiastically way.
"Really?" I was surprised, and actually honored as well they wanted me to join. "But you guys know me, what, only a day?" I sank my teeth in my lower lip.
"That doesn't matter. We'd like to get to know you better," Kira said brightly.
"Well, I'd love to, than."
"Great! I'll tell Lydia and Malia you'll join us."
I nodded with a smile, and Kira headed back to the way she came from.
"What was that about?" Stiles asked curious, who had been watching Ciara and Kira having a conversation. He was happy his friends were so nice to his sister.
I turned around when I heard Stiles' voice.
I smiled brightly. "They asked me to join their girl's night this weekend," I told him happily.
"But that's great! I told you, you would be fine!"
I chuckled. "You were right."
"Always am," Stiles joked. "Come on, let's go home," he added.
"Good idea," I agreed. I was quite tired.
"And? How was your first day at school?" Sheriff asked once both his children were back home.
"It was great! They were all so nice to me," I told him with sparkling eyes. A whole story followed. About everything I had been through today. And... also about the sleep over this weekend.
Sheriff was glad to hear his daughter had had a good time at school today. And it made him even happier to hear about the sleep over. Although he was worried it might be too much for her. But, he didn't say anything about that. He didn't want to ruin her happiness. Besides, it couldn't harm much, right?
"Good. I am really glad to hear that. I told you you'd be fine, didn't I?"
"Yeah, yeah, you did," I said, grinning.
Later that night, I laid in bed. I stared up at the ceiling. Even though I was extremely tired, I seemed not to be able to fall asleep. It was the rain drops that hit the window that made me sleepier and what made me fall asleep eventually. I had no idea I was being watched...
