So here we are again looking at this abysmal world, watching the life flow through, sapping and sapping the world itself away. They use everything they see and destroy what they can't comprehend. That is why I'm lying here in a drug induced coma, they had to have me on a constant drip because I can just burn through shackles and restraints, I'm here to be "destroyed" because of their small minds.
At the moment I inhabited a small cell. It walls were padded with dirty white fabric and a single flickering light hung from the ceiling, the wire to short to even consider suicide. A shiny metal door scratched with tallies and attempts to get free, still with the streaks of blood from when inmates would have ripped off their nails while scratching away counting down the days.
Solitary confinement isn't all that bad it gives you a lot of time to think, giving your brain a stretch drifting off and dreaming of the world outside plotting your next moves. A great time to consider how you are going to kill these halfwits who put you in here. I suggest a slow burn from the feet upwards and a removal of all the digits beforehand, use blunt a knife to rip the flesh around the bone then pin their palm to the table and slowly bend the fingers upwards till you hear and feel a crack, now as you have removed the flesh it should just come right off in your hand. Metal chair is probably the best thing to tie them on just so it doesn't melt as easily and use metal chains as well.

I had played the disappearing act pretty well leaving no evidence, I went into hiding for a few months, laid low and kept out of sight of normal civilians. Sleeping in alleyways or in bus shelters, always keeping moving. Most of the time not eating till I was half dieing of starvation just to keep from going into shops that much, keeping off surveillance cameras and staying away from the political eye.
Political climate had been changing dramatically and mutants like myself were being attacked more frequently, not that they weren't before but more people actively went to search for mutants just to kill them. To be honest I wanted a change of surrounding, the old one was getting boring and repetitive. I needed something more interesting, something different.
That thing they put in my head melted away when I had burned my whole house to the ground, I guess they had underestimated me yet again. I'd expected them to have put a better one in since they had seen my work, but stupid humans always make mistakes just to blame it on people like me.
I had been hanging around this area for a couple of days now just waiting about for no real reason. This was a small town with a close-knit community, everyone knew everyone, I had taken residence in the forest beside the town. The forest was densely packed with trees which kept the ground inside relatively dry. I slept on fallen log covered in dry leaves and made a fire when it got cold.
I kept my distance from the town only to go in for food and water. I was unnoticed by many due to being very good at covering up my mutation, the only thing that set them on edge was the eyes and even then people only thought it was contacts. Living on the street gives you knowledge on useful subjects such as, how to pickpocket someone's wallet without anyone noticing so paying for sustenance wasn't a problem.
On the day I was packing up a to move to the next town when a beam of light shone through the dark forest sweeping across as if trying to find something or someone. The beam swept left and right barely missing me, but then stopped and seemed to focus on a single point to my left at the blank floor, then faded out.
I waited for a little while then finished my packing up. I was just about to leave when suddenly a piercing noise stabbed at my ears, it felt like someone was scraping sandpaper against my eardrums, everything else went dead silent and I could only hear that shrill scream. It slowly shut down all control over my body pinning my arms and legs to the ground and blackening my vision.I was pinned there for what felt like hours waiting for that noise to stop. Finally it ceased leaving a horrible ringing behind, tinnitus, slowly my locked muscles loosened up allowing slightly more movement. I tried to get up but a cold metal object hit the back of my head keeping me down, the sound of voices faded back into my hearing as the tinnitus cleared up, a group of soldiers had surrounded me it seemed. Cuffs were suddenly put on my wrists and I was forced into a kneeling position, I was in fact surrounded by soldiers all pointing guns at me, there was another person beside me in a white hospital gown. She must have been the one to cause this, an escapee seeking freedom.
The circle broke to let another more "important" man in. He swaggered towards us eyebrows raised with a look of complete satisfaction, he had captured the scum of this earth and now he could play with them, his hair was light grey with harsh green eyes and he wore khaki trousers with a green top.
"Well well well, what do we have here? Two monsters, a virus that should be destroyed!" he spat arms crossed and nose turned up. I look him directly in the eye and just grin, not a happy grin or a sad grin, a grin of nothingness.
"What you smilin at?" he says angrily getting really close to my face, a vein had popped out on his temple pulsing slowly, I watched it for a little while still smiling then spat fire into his face singeing his eyebrows. His recoiled back so fast he fell over and scrambled about in the mud a bit till he got up and backed out of the circle.
"Knock him out and make sure to break some ribs!" before scampering off to tend to his burnt face. The soldier all crowded around me raining blows down.¤~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~¤
I never saw that girl again, I'm guessing they must have killed her in the testing. After the soldiers had finished I spent 3 months in the medical wing of this place just so I could walk again.
The hatch on the cell door screeched open and a letter poked through drifting to the floor, it was covered in symbols I had never seen before, the hatch then dropped shut.
