Y/N POV:

It had only been a few months of dating Kendall but our relationship had developed so quickly I couldn't remember life without her. My friendship with Kylie had only strengthened and here we were, waking up in the eternal city; Rome was a city of art and exploring it alongside my best friend and girlfriend was surreal.

The light filtering in through our balcony shutters illuminated the bedroom. Beside me, my girlfriend was still fast asleep, her arm draped over me holding me tightly.  Scrolling through my notifications I noticed the majority were just from Kylie, demanding that I wake up to supply her with orange juice.  Rolling my eyes I sat up, moving to get out of bed. Kendall made a little noise, still fast asleep, in response to the loss of contact. Scrunching her nose up slightly, I couldn't help but smile at how cute my girlfriend truly was.

"You are literally the most perfect person in my world," I mused, assuming Kendall wouldn't hear me. I laughed as I noticed a small smile tug at her lips. Of course she'd choose now to wake up. "You bitchhh," I laughed, exaggeratedly clutching at my heart

"Your bitch," she corrected. Her voice was raspy while her eyes were still fluttering open.  I grinned back at the girl.

"Kinky." I smirked at my girlfriend. Kendall laughed heartily, her eyes almost sparkling, as she looked at me.  I rolled back over towards her, wrapping my girlfriend up in my arms; cuddling with Kenny had to be one of my top favourite things to do.

I heard a loud knocking on our door and I groaned, snuggling further into Kendall. What was even the point in a vacation if I couldn't just laze about with my favourite person? I crawled further under the covers as I heard Khloe and Kylie's voices. Of course it was them.

"So y'all done fucking or?" Khloe called.

After visiting what seemed like endless, beautiful churches, we found ourselves exploring the Colosseum. The iconic structure was far more captivating than I ever could have imagined, and I could see that the three sisters were equally mesmerised.

As Kylie and Khloe walked ahead, I tugged at Kendall's hand which was interlocked with mine, pulling her into a small alcove with me. I smiled sweetly at her, running a hand back through my hair.

"Kiss me," she whispered, and I was more than happy to oblige. I could taste hints of the cherry smoothie the girl had been drinking just moments ago.

"I love you," I said breathlessly as we pulled away. Kendall looked surprised, but certainly happy.

"I love you too," she replied, still holding my face in her hands. It could have been a lie; it could well have been false, but I didn't care. I had fallen for Kendall, hard. She swore she would catch me.

I smiled as I spotted Ky, motioning for the two of them to join us. The intensity of the Italian sun was beginning to settle, and we made our way towards a restaurant for dinner. With my arm slung around Kylie, I knew that no matter what, I had my best friend.

"Beautiful, my love!" A man called as he ran alongside us. I quirked an eyebrow as I glanced towards him, as he carried a box full of touristy gifts. I proceeded to ignore him while we continued on our way. "Come on darling," he continued.

"She's taken," Kendall snapped grumpily at the man, moving closer towards me protectively.

"Of course, she's my girlfriend," the man cheekily replied, clearly ignoring my actual girlfriend's negativity. I couldn't help but laugh at the man's enthusiasm, much to Kendall's annoyance.

"What do you even want me to buy?" I asked the man, who was still running down the street to keep ahead of us.

"Fidget spinner? Five euros only."

Kendall eyed the small plastic spinner cautiously as we waited to be served. Jealous Kendall had to be one of my favourite Kendalls. I glanced at the menu while Kylie and Khloe chatted animatedly about the latest Gucci launch.

"I can't believe you spent money on this," Kendall frowned, still eying the red toy with distaste. I grinned as I presented the fidget spinner to my girlfriend.

"Just for you my lovely," I winked.

Khloe offered to take photos of Kendall and I, on the Polaroid. As her sister took the photo, Kendall quickly kissed my cheek, and I felt my cheeks heat up ever so slightly. After all this time and everything we had done together, the simplest of actions from Kendall made me feel so much.

As I poured my girlfriend a glass of rosé, Kendall waited for me on our balcony where the sun was just beginning to set. She smiled warmly as I joined her, resting her head on my shoulder as we sat in comfortable silence. The pink hues complimented Kendall's complexion, and I smiled as she stole a sweet kiss.

"I've got a job offer," she began, gently tracing patterns across my palm. I smiled genuinely back at her.

"That's great Kenny, L.A. has so much to offer," I replied, paying closer attention to my girlfriend. She hesitated, visibly, and my smile faltered momentarily.

"I'm moving to New York." She continued, offering me a more sympathetic smile. I froze. I tried not to dwell on what this could mean for us, our relationship. New York was where I was born and raised, surely this could be positive. I tried my hardest to continue to be supportive; I had no idea where I fit into my girlfriend's plans for a new life, I hoped that I did.

I kissed her. It was desperate, certainly emotional, and somewhat clinging on to what we had. Distance would complicate things, and suddenly our future seemed unclear. But I loved her. For now, all I could do was enjoy the time I had with the girl while the sun set in Rome.
