She hid inside the old wardrobe as she peeked outside from a little hole that was made on the door from her father a while back.
"You can't just leave." Her mother blocked the door with her small body.
"I'm done with this." He slammed her body to the side.
"Don't leave!" Her mother cried out as she was starting to get up but it was too late.
He left. He walked out that door and there was no turning back.
Her mother cried her heart on the floor as she opened the doors to wardrobe and her tiny feet stepped onto the surface. She went to go hug her mother.
Her mother dried her tears quickly as she could not show her daughter her weak side.
"I'm sorry, Hina. Mommy is okay." She said slowly.
Hinata smiled at her as her mother held her in her embrace.
"Don't worry, Mommy will always be here for you." She patted her head as Hinata stood back and held out her small pinky. Astonished, her mother smiled as she held her pinky out to her.
"I promise." She says to her.
"Now, let's get ready for school." She says to her as the little girl nods her head in agreement.
She took a small bath before struggling to put on her shirt. Her mother laughed at the sight before her as her head was stuck in between the opening. She walked over to her as she unbutton the shirt & her head came out. She smiled at her mother and threw a thumbs up with her tiny thumbs.
"Here's your bento." Her mother handed her a small box wrapped in a lavender cloth. She accepted it as she bowed.
"Let's go." Her mother stoke her hand out to her as her small hand was now in hers.
Little waves formed around them and the cars became ships as Hinata was now queen of the ocean.
Her mother played along as they crossed the street.
"Argh Captain Hinata! I think we've arrived at er destination!" Her mother said as they arrived at the front of the gates.
Hinata opened her mouth in shook as her mother smiled. She pointed to the sandbox of the school.
"Do you want to play in there?" A young man came out of the building.
Hinata nodded her head as the teacher smiled.
"You may." He said as her small feet ran to the sandbox.
"I assume you're Itachi-sensei." Her mother held out her hand for a greeting.
"Yes ma'am. I'll have you know your daughter will have a great time in this school." The teacher shook her hand.
"I hope so, this is the third time I've had to switch schools." Her mother said nervously.
She bowed before the teacher as it stunned him.
"Please be patient with my daughter. Her condition causes her to get bullied often and makes her not have any friends but she's a really nice girl I promise you that." Her mother pleaded.
"Condition?" The teacher looked confused.
"Oh right." Her mother sighed before speaking again.
"She's deaf."
