She lifted herself from the sandbox as she noticed her mother signaling for her to walk over. She dusted her clothes off as she ran beside her. Her mother kneeled a bit down to her level.
"Mommy is going now, be good okay? Promise me, you'll make friends." Her mother signed at her. Hinata smiled at her as she gave her a thumbs up.
"That's my girl, I'll pick you up later." She patted her head before Hinata held the teacher's hand.
The teacher walked with her as he signed to her the bit of sign language he knew.
"You'll like it here, everyone is really nice." He reassured her.
1.2.3. This is flight 304, preparing for take off. Hinata held her ear as she had an earpiece on.
I have arrived on a mysterious planet, I'm currently taking my first steps to discover any sort of life. Hinata said to the earpiece as her feet touched the red rocky ground under her.
Suddenly the clouds reappeared and so did the school. In front of them was a small light blue classroom with long wooden cubbies attached to the wall. Each one with a different name on it. All except for the last one. Around were many small tables and a small play center.
"Everyone please go to your seats." The teacher said as Hinata stood behind him.
"Hinata-chan, there's no need to be shy. Come on, introduce yourself." The teacher removed himself revealing the small pale girl from behind him.
She sighed and walked to the chalk board behind her and lifted the chalk to the tip of the board while spelling out:
こんにちは、私の名前は日向ひなたです。私はろう者ですが、私たちが友達であることを止めないことを願っています。(Hello, my name is Hinata Hyuga. I am deaf but I hope that doesn't stop us from becoming friends.)For a six year old, it was impressive for her to already have learned how to write full words and sentences.
"What's deaf?" A small blonde boy tilted his head.
"Wait does that mean you're...dead?! A g-ghost?!" He then said with a scared expression.
"Baka! That means she can't hear or talk." The small pinkette hit the blonde boy.
"Hinata-chan, please take a seat next to.." The teacher surveyed the room until he reached the empty chair next to the his younger brother.
"Sasuke-kun, please raise your hand." He said as his younger brother gave him an annoyed expression but cooperated.
As Hinata noticed she walked towards her new seat and smiled at the boy she would be sitting next too. He rolled his eyes as he laid his head down. She handed him a small paper. I hope we can be friends. It read but the boy simply ignored it. A man with silver hair appeared at the door of the classroom.
"Itachi, may I speak with you?" He said.
"Yes, class please make Hinata-chan feel welcome." The teacher said as he stepped outside.
Immediately the pinkette arose from her seat and walked over to Hinata along with a girl with blonde hair and one with brown.
"Hinata-chan, Hi!" The blonde girl waved.
Hinata smiled at them.
