Chatper 17

Nathaniel's pov.

I watched Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting the new akumatized victim. Footsteps came closer to me in ear shot. I looked to see Jake and his friends, in a state of shock. What's up with them?, I thought to myself. Chloe! I need to find her. Searching for the blonde, I noticed her high pony tail and made my way toward her. Kindly asking people to move around as they watched the battle I caught up to Chloe.

"Nate", she exclaimed when I took a hold of her hand. "Omg I was so worried. Are you okay?" Giving her a hard but gentle squeeze on her hand as reassurance, she replied with a happy sign.

Another explosion was heard close to the school, revealing a red and black figure landing on the road with no traffic in commence. "Ladybug!" Chloe let go of my grip and ran to the heroine. Standing up to see who was calling her, she looked in the direction that Chloe was in. "Stay back Chloe", she yelled, stopping Chloe from getting close to her.

Looking at everyone standing wondering if she was okay she shouted," Everyone, get inside and stay safe. Cat Noir and I have Raven under control!" Raven, that's the akuma's name.

"What about Phoenix", a student shouted. "Where's she?" The confidence that showed in the spotted heroine disappeared and in its place was something that could be shown. Something that she didn't want to say.

"She's somewhere, busy with her own personal life maybe. Now everyone get to safety!" With quick movements, she pulled out her yo-yo swinging it to a building leaving us to hide. All the staff members directed us back inside the school, I found Chloe as I walked in the building. Principal Damocles told students to go to there homeroom teacher so they can take us to their classrooms. Chloe and I found our friends with Miss Bustier.

Leading us to our classroom, all seated in our teacher called to see if all of us were here. Looking around, I didn't see Jake. Wondering what had happened to him I ran out of the classroom to find him. Yelling his name in the hall of the school, I checked the locker room and the boys bathroom. Checking the halls one more time, I spotted the guy.

"Jake", I yelled. Turning a corner to were I saw him last was a dead end and an open window. Oh no, I thought. Running up to the window, looking all direction, Jake was no where to be seen. Hurrying back to the classroom to see if anything has happened, everyone was all accounted for except Galaxy, Marinette, Adrien, and Jake. The rest were watching the broadcast of the fight on the big projector screen.

A knock was heard from the door. Our teacher went to opened the door. I looked to see Lila Rossi, the Liar, well, that's what everyone calls her at least. She walked over towards the seats that Chloe and I were at. Sitting on the other side of Chloe both started talking.

"JAKE LONG", a feminine says on a screen, turning out attention back to the broadcast. "COME OUT OF YOUR HIDING SPOT AND FACE ME!"
