"Stoick, we found her on the boat," the man said.
"Bring her into the great hall," he replied fiercely.
"Yes sir."

Two men directed Astrid to the great hall and told her to tale a seat.
When they weren't looking a small, scrawny boy walked in.
"Hi," he said.
"Hey."
"I haven't seen you around the island."
"I'm new here."
"I'm Hiccup."
"Astrid."

The doors burst open and Stoick came in to see the men talking and Hiccup talking with Astrid.
"Hiccup!" he yelled.
"Hi, dad."
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see who she was."
"Go back to the hut and I'll be there in a minute."
"Okay dad."

"Hi sir," Astrid said.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"I'm Astrid and my dad sent me and my uncle here."
"Where's your uncle?"
"Valhalla, I think," Astrid said upset.
"Sorry kid."
"It's alright."

Stoick glanced at the men and a long silence began.
"Alright, Astrid," he said finally. "You can stay with Gobber until you old enough to take care of yourself."
"Thank you, sir. Where's Gobber?"
"The blacksmith's."
"Where's that?"
"Flynn, show her the way."
"Yes sir," he said.
"You won't regret this," Astrid said excitedly.
"I better not," Stoick said under his breath.
