Goblin Market: pg. 67-82
Children's fairy-tale with a whole host of differing interpretations- anything sticks. Capitalism, spiritual saving and redemption, power of sisterhood against men, lesbian lovers... you can make a case for pretty much anything, regardless the amount of times Rossetti said IT WAS JUST A STORY.
Note: This is a really long poem so make sure to pick up recurrent symbols or images Rossetti uses. Note the difference in metre, sometimes the 'maidens' and the 'goblin men' have the same metre- what could this mean?
