A week later, I finally settled down at the Master's bedroom, Andre took the bedroom downstairs. As I was checking my phone for emails, I finally got a an email from a headhunter, thank god! She said there's a job for me in Milan, half of what I was suppose to earn in France but it is only 20 mins away from the house, and it is a well-recognized restaurant in Milan.
I changed my clothing and went downstairs, Hmmm.. I think I should cook so we could celebrate, sort of like a house warming dinner. I bought more furniture and redecorating is almost done.
"I'm heading out" Andre said,
"What time will you be back?" I asked,
"I don't know, but I'll just meet up with my friends, won't take too long"
"Okay, can you be back for dinner? I'm making dinner" I asked softly, trying not sound like a nagging wife,
"Sure... Gosh, you sound like a wife already" Andre left.
I was alone for the first time ever since my engagement, I had to make the most out of it, I connected my phone to the Bluetooth speaker and danced while making dinner, I spent an hour making the dinner, I wanted to patch things, since I'm gonna have to actually live with this person for the rest of my life.
I set up dinner outside, opened all the garden lights, I took a bath and tried to look good, I wore a maxi lounge dress and flip flops, I was so excited, I think I made my self proud tonight, dinner looked great!
*7:30 pm*
No Andre, so I texted him, "Hey"
*8:30 pm*
Still no Andre, not even one reply, so I texted him again, "Dinner? Remember?" is my husband stooding me up, I started drinking the wine and eating the food on my plate.
*9:30 pm*
I finished my plate and dessert as well, I finished the whole bottle too. By 10 pm, I turned off all the lights downstairs and headed to bed.
I didn't felt bad, I felt trapped, how many dinners is she going to eat alone?
"I just had to get used to it" she said to herself, while changing her clothes and going to bed.
