We arrived at a swanky gallery in Milan,
"Some event" I told him,
"Stay with me, okay?" he seemed nervous, "It's just... I haven't brought anyone, serious, around these guys" Serious? Whaaaaat? Nice!
"Don't worry" I held his free hand, "not going anywhere" and gave him a reassuring smile.
We got out and I think, anyone who is anyone in the football world is here, I got scared a little bit, I held unto him a little tighter,
"Anyone you may know?" he asked me,
"I don't think--" I was scoping the area when I saw one of my good friends, Hector, "oh, Hector!"
"Bellerin? How'd you know him?" I can't really explain how I knew Hector to my current husband,
"Uhm... I was in London-- Culinary--" right when I was about to explain it to him,
"Cristiano!" he shouted, he saw some of his Portugal teammates, "Come here,"
"This is the missus" he started introducing me to a bunch of guys,
"Hi!" I shook some of their hands, some nodded, and some waved, they were talking for quite some time, so I excused my self to the ladies powder room,
I was browsing through the portraits, "Is this one still up for sale?" oh Hecky B! I turned around, and bantered "not for the past... 2 weeks" I gave him a big hug.
"So should I start calling you, Mrs. Silva?" he looked nice actually with his long hair,
"And what should I start calling you?" while I pointed out his hair,
"Hey! If you must know, this was Beckham's hair back in the day" we were walking around looking at sculptures when Andre approached us,
"Dear?" Andre suddenly held me tighter from the waist, I looked him in the eye, like Wtf are you doing?
"Hector, this is Andre, --"
"The husband, hi!" he held out his hand to shake Hector's, "Cassandra, I think we should take our seat, dinner will be in awhile, see you Hector!" he almost dragged me out of the gallery and into the dinner area
We took our seats and Andre went to the bar and got us some drinks, I was looking around and gave some smiles to the wives and people who were looking, why are they looking? I overheard some say, "Oh she's the wife? I thought she was pregnant", "I heard they were arranged", "I saw him partying with girls the other night"
Ouch!
I kept my face straight, I didn't want to embarrass Andre, when Hector texted me,
"Is it true?"
"True what?"
"The arranged marriage! Sara!" I didn't reply for awhile,
I looked around and saw Andre, talking to the women bartender, what is it with waiters and bartenders that turn this guy on?! I decided to reply to Hector,
"Obviously, just look at my husband LOL"
"Aren't you hurt? Tell him something" Hector replied,
"At this point? Why bother?" I replied and put down my phone,
I was enjoying my drink, water, and I reminded myself of one of our pillow talks the other night, we'll act around people who don't know about our arrangement and act as who we really are, around people who do, well I guess, people here know, so why bother act?
I went to the bar, as I was walking, Andre saw me from his peripheral and immediately stopped, "Andre!" I acted so cheerful like I didn't see anything, "I need to go home, I have work"
"Let me go with you, I'll--"
"No, Andre, it's fine!" I gave him a cold tap in the shoulder and left,
I thought everything was going fine, everything was okay, things were finally falling to place. Maybe it was just from my perspective, maybe I was just one of his girls.
