"Hey! Porto!" said one of my teammates,

"Newly wed!" said the other,

The boys make it a habit to meet up for drinks and light partying once and while, and with the stress of the wedding, and everything, I need a drink or two!

"First round is on me" I said, as I sat on one of the booths,

"Won't the missus get mad?"

"Nah, don't worry about it, ese" I reassured him,

"Andre, come on.."

"No, really it's fine!" I leaned in closer, "we're actually arranged married"

Even though, I whispered, my teammates still heard, and with their agents, comes with people who talk non-stop, not for long the football community already knew about it, of course it was kept hush hush for the public not to know, they didn't have concrete proof anyway.

I got home that night, at 2 am in the morning, smelling like food, drinks, cheap perfume, the works! For anyone this might be that one time thing every other month, but to us, it's tradition

----

I woke up to the sun hitting my face, my bedroom was downstairs, overlooking the garden, and Sara was their, watering the plants on a Saturday afternoon,

"Good morning" I said from the balcony of my room,

"Afternoon" she corrected me, "it's 2pm in the Afternoon.. There's food in the kitchen"

That's when I remembered, DINNER!

"ah, fuck" I cursed under my breath,

"It's fine" she replied, she already knew what I was saying, "go eat" she smiled and continued gardening

I went to the kitchen and there was breakfast or lunch, for normal people,

"Thank you" I yelled from the kitchen, and ate

I observed the house, it was prettier than when we first moved in, she put life into an All-white house, all was missing were family photos, photos that people normally have in their homes.

"What you doing?" she almost surprised me, she came from the basement, fresh from the gym.

"Browsing..." more like tip toeing, I still don't feel comfortable, like a part of me still feels like this will end eventually and I'll go back to living in my apartment.

"You think we should put something there" we were both staring at a wall, with a weird modern art thing hanged on it,

"Maybe..." she said, "Any ideas?"

"A picture of us?"

"Hmm" she was surprised with my remark, "never pegged you for a family guy"

"Hey!"

"Can you blame me? You don't live here, you just sleep and bathe and occasionally eat here" she emphasized the word, occasionally

"Sorry" I faced her, "I have nothing to do today, I'll gym a bit, and... Maybe, if you let me, we can spend the day together, as husband and wife" held her hand like we were about to say our vows,

"I do" she joked

"You may now kiss the bride" I leaned in fast for a kiss, and she slapped me playfully,

"Nice try" she patted my cheeks, chuckled and went up to her room to prepare

She seemed happy that I'm taking her out, so much so that while I was downstairs, working out, she made me a post- workout snack. I guess it's true what they say, Happy Wife, Happy life!
