"Come on Merle, I know you like Harry" "what no I don't" I said trying to hide the fact that I do like Harry.  "Yes you do, your blushing" Hermione said feeling excited. "Shh Hermione, Harry and Ron are coming over to us". When Harry and Ron got over to us, me and Hermione said hey to the boys and asked if they wanted to go and spend a bit of time by the black lake and the boys said yes.

Once we all got near the black lake Ron pulled Harry back to talk to him, I happened to look back at the two boys to see Harry blushing and I wondered what they were talking about. When me and Hermione sat down we pulled out our homework and got on with it. Then I heard Ron complaining "I don't want to do my homework" I looked up at Ron and said "don't do your homework then, but just remember that me or Hermione will not be doing it for you" "fine" Ron said acting grumpy while taking out his homework.

A few hours later we all went back was the castle to have lunch. As lunch was ending Hermione went to the library to do other homework, while Harry and Ron went to practice for the next quidditch game so I made my way to the Gryffindor common room to drop my stuff off before I go and meet Harry and Ron at the quidditch pitch. As I got near the Quidditch pitch, I go stopped by my best friend's enemy Draco Malfoy but I ignored him and walked on. "Hey Merle, what are you doing the fine afternoon?" "Well Malfoy, as you see I'm off to see Harry and Ron by the Quidditch pitch" I said walking away "well let me walk you there" he said walking next to me.

When I got to the Gryffindor stand, I saw Harry and Ron on their brooms and noticed Malfoy was still next to me, so I turned to him and said "Malfoy, what do you want from me, you never bothered me before so why now" Malfoy looked into my green eye and said softly "Merle, I have liked you for a while and I was wondering if you want to go on a date with me to hogsmade next Saturday" "oh Malfoy I'm sorry but I don't date boys who are rude to me and my friends" I said looking at Harry and realized that he is watching me and Malfoy with angry look on his face. "Oh ok, sorry for bothering you, bye" Malfoy said before walking off.

After Harry and Ron were finished we went the the library to find Hermione with her face in a book, she looked up and noticed me, Harry and Ron sitting at the table she was at and asked how Quidditch practice was and Ron told her which led to complete silence. Then Harry broke the silence by saying "hey Merle, what were you and Malfoy talking about?" "Malfoy asked me to go on a date with him next Saturday but I turned him down" Hermione looked at Harry and said "because I like someone else" "can you describe who you like" Ron says smiling along with Hermione. "Well he is a Gryffindor in our year, I know him really well, we are very close and I mean really close" Harry looked at me with a smile on his face and said "Merle, will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes, I would love to"
