Anna's POV
My eyes flashed open. My body whipped itself up. I gasped for air. I felt like there was no air flowing in my lungs. Where's the air? I thought. Them I finally found it. I breathed heavily. I looked up. Where am I? I thought. I couldn't remember where I was before. The room was dark and cold. The walls were hard and wet. Oh my God. I'm in a cell. My body felt like it went through a war. It was a weak and defeated. I tried to stand up, but I couldn't. "Help!" I croaked. No one came. I felt the tears roll down my eyes. "Help," I croaked louder. It was no use. I'm going to die here. I didn't even have enough energy to breathe. Kill me now I thought.
"Don't even try," someone said. I turned around. There was a woman standing near me. She had long curled brown hair. She was wearing jeans and a leather jacket. She had heels on her black boots. She was wearing a bit too much makeup. I tried to carry my eyes up to look at her. She was beautiful, but something about her seemed evil. Full of darkness. I felt the fear strike me, "Who are you?" I croaked. She bent down next to me, "That's not The point," she said bitter, "I'm here to give you a gift." She looked dangerous to me. Her brown eyes were to dark too even see some kind of light in there. I shook my head, "Please," I said, "don't hurt me." She smiled and through in a small chuckle, "I'm not going to hurt you." She said, "if you don't accept my gift, well, then I will."
The fear hit me again. She clasped her hands together and stretched them out. A ball of light appeared. It looked like a small version of the Sun. The light was reflected from her eyes and mine. I stared at it. It looked so beautiful. It had a light yellow surrounding the outside and inside was passionate orange. I wanted to touch it, but I felt frighten to go near it. The woman smiled again, "All you have to do is accept it." She said. One of the rays hit my skin. I jumped back at the reaction. The Ray burned my skin. I red mark was placed on my arm. A burn. Like a 3rd degree burn. "No," I said. The woman's smile drifted away. She looked furious. Her eyes were darker again, "Fine," she said, "I might just have to kill you." The ball of light came towards me. I tried to crawl backwards, but I couldn't.
The rays were hitting my skin. Burning my flesh. I screamed as loud as I could. The woman just stood there smiling, "Accept it and it won't hurt." She said. I felt the tears splashing against my cheeks. I could taste The salt from them. The ball was coming through my chest. I felt like an exploding bomb was entering me. It hurt. It was worse than hurt. It was pain. The pain of death striking through your veins. "Stop!" I screamed again. My skin burned everywhere. It was bright red.
"Wake up!" Someone screamed. "Wake up please!" My eyes flew open. I was still in a cell. Cinder blocks surrounding me. My face was soaked with tears. My skin was red, but not as red before. The woman was not present. The ball of light was gone. What happened? I thought. I turned around to see a man next to me. I jumped back. My body was still weak. I clasped. The man walked over to me, "You're okay," he said, "I'm here to help you." I just kept shaking my head No. The tears curving around my cheeks. The man kept stroking my hair, "Where am I?" I asked. He didn't answer. Which made me a little bit more mortified than was, "You're somewhere safe," he said, "I need you to trust me, okay?" His touch gave me goosebumps, but comfort. This man was handsome. He had a muscular face. Black hair and ice blue eyes. He caught one of my fear that escaped out of my eyes. I just kept looking at him. His blue eyes looking straight into mine. His hand stroking my cheek instead of my hair. I couldn't speak. I just nodded my head. He smiled, "Good." He said. His smile was bright, "Its okay," he whispered, "I'm Damon." I couldn't say anything. I moaned at a sharp pain in my back. I fell back, but Damon caught me.
Damon looked at me and then looked at his wrist. He turned away. When he looked back. His wrist was full of blood, "You need to drink this," he said. I shook my head, "I...I" My eyes were closing slowly. I saw Damon put his wrist near my lips. A warm liquid it them. It was thick. I took his wrist and began to drink from it. Damon held my head, "Good girl," he said. I finally stopped. I wiped my face. I finally found the strength inside me. The strength was flowing inside of me. I finally felt strong enough to stand up. "No, no," Damon said as I was trying to stand. He placed one arm under my legs and the other lopped around my back. He picked me up. I still felt tired and dizzy, but stronger. I cradled my head near Damon's chest. I could feel him looking down at me.
