A Surprise

The next morning I called Hannah and Whitney and asked them to meet me at starbucks. I said I had a surprise for them. After getting dressed in my jean shorts, purple tank top and converse, I drove out to Starbucks singing Granger Danger on the way. Hannah and Whitney were sitting down drinking coffee by the window.

I ordered a Carmel macchiato and sat down next to Hannah. "Hey Emma, so what's this surprise?" Whitney asked.

"Yea you seemed like you were in another world over the phone. What's up?" Hannah said.

"You are not gonna believe what happened yesterday! I went to the mall to do a little shopping and I ran into...wait for it...Tyler Brunsman!" I exclaimed.

Whitney's jaw dropped and her coffee fell onto the floor. "Are you serious?! Did he talk to you?" Hannah asked.

"We talked and he followed me out to my car! And last night, he took me to a starkid party!" I exclaimed.

"Emma." Said the barista.

I went and grabbed my coffee and sat back down. "OMG! Did you meet all of them?!" Whitney asked.

"Was joe there?" Hannah asked.

"Yes and yes. I even got to sing with joey. It was so much fun, I wish you had been there! Next time, I'm bringing you guys." I said.

Just then I got a text from joey: starkid meeting at 2, want me to pick you up?

"Whose texting you?" Whitney asked.

"It's joey, he's picking me up at 2, there's a starkid meeting." I explained.

They looked very confused and sad. I told them they could tag along if they promised not to flip out. Hannah jumped for joy and Whitney hugged me. "Wait, why are going to a starkid meeting, aren't they private?" Hannah asked.

"I'll explain on the way. Come on, I gotta get home and drop off my car before joey gets there." I said pulling out my keys.

We drove back to my place and waited for joey. Hannah and Whitney were trying very hard not to scream. Joey pulled up with joe in the passenger seat. Hannah nearly lost it when she saw him. " hey guys! These are my friends, Hannah and Whitney. Ok if they come along? I promise they'll be cool." I asked.

"yea sure! More the merrier!" Joe said getting out.

The three of them piled into the back seat while I hopped in next to joey. Hannah began asking joe all sorts of questions. Whitney leaned forward, still wanting to know my explanation. "She's a starkid now." Joey said.

"When? How? Spill!" Whitney asked.

I told them about last night and how Nick Lang heard me sing and asked me to join. They were so ecstatic and thrilled. Joey noticed Hannah was wearing her umbridge shirt she had made and asked joe to do his umbridge voice for her. "Alright, alright I'll do it for her." He said.

He did the whole character. Joey turned on his stereo and played the music for AVPS. Joe sang his umbridge song and everyone loved it. "So what's this meeting about?" I asked.

"You'll see. I promise it's awesome." Joey said smiling.

We arrived at the Starkid manor, where a number of cars were parked. I think every Starkid was here. Joey opened the car door for me, as did joe for the girls. We knocked on the door and Meredith answered. "Hey guys! Come on in! Hey Emma (hugs)" she said.

"Hey Meredith! Oh these are my friends. They asked to tag along, hope that's ok with Nick." I said.

"Yea sure, he'll be fine with it, come have a seat, we just started." She said.
