(Marcus in the Multi-Media box above↑↑)

Today I was meeting with Marcus so I could finally tell him about the things that are were going on between Kyle and I. I was nervous to see his reaction to what I had to tell him. Marcus wasn't the type of friend to just sit back and give advice about things, he was the type of person that liked to take action. This is the main reason why telling him is not a good option.

Pulling up to Starbucks, I seen that Kyle's silver Chrysler was parked near the entrance. My palms began to get sweaty. Nervous wasn't even the word to describe how I was feeling at this point. It was more like scared.

"Roz!!!!"

I looked up and seen Marcus running towards me. I then forced a smile on my face.

"Roz, where have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." Marcus pulled me into a hug.

"I've been around." We walked into Starbucks and sat down.

"So, what's the big news? Why'd you schedule this meeting," Marcus asked anxiously.

"Well...," I hesitated. "It's about me and Kyle."

He leaned forward a little.

"For a while now, Kyle has been coming home late and I'll make. a comment on it and, you know, men tend to get upset when you question where they've been. So, Kyle was acting like the typical man and he got upset. But, his upset is not like any other ups-."

"Is he beating you," Marcus asked cutting me off.

I looked down at the table and nodded my head.

"How long has this been going on?"

I sighed. "For a while now."

Marcus stared at me. I could tell that he was upset.

"And you're just now telling me this? This is ridiculous. I thought we didn't hide things from each other, Roz." Marcus began to get frustrated.

"I know. I'm sorry. I just didn't know how to tell you, Marcus. I knew that you would be upset. That was one of the reasons as to why it took me so long," I pleaded.

"I don't want you living in that house with him. It's not safe."

"Wait, Marcus, I can't just up a-."

He put his hand up. "I don't care about what you're saying right now. If you are not gone by Monday of next week, I'm going to take matters not my own hands."

With that being said, Marcus got up and left.

I put my face in my hands. I knew that I'd have to act upon this real soon or else things would get even more ugly....
