Marcus POV

I had just gotten out of the shower when I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Roz and she'd sent me a bunch of random letters. I knew that meant trouble. That was her typing without looking saying that she needed help.

I rushed to put on my clothes and headed off to Dames Chicken and Waffles where the girls were having brunch.

When I got to the restaurant, the receptionist tried to greet me, but I walked past and walked through a maze of tables to find Roz.

After I finally laid eyes on the table the girls were seated at, I seen a dark figure standing in front of the table. It was......

Roz's POV

I slowly exhaled. "Why are you here Kyle."

He had a wicked grin on his face. "Because I was so sad when I didn't wake up to your beautiful face the next morning."

"Don't you mean my battered face? You beat me, Kyle, and I wasn't going to tolerate it any longer. Now, you're dismissed."

He stood there with a shocked look on his face. Then, Marcus walked over to our table.

"Is everything ok, babe," he asked me.

"Everything is fine. Kyle was just dismissing himself." I glared over at Kyle.

Kyle looked Marcus up and down. "You took my woman away from me you stupid son of a bitch. How dare you?"

Marcus's jaws tightened and I could see that he was trying to stay calm. "Look, man. I'm not here to start nothing. I'm just checking on my girl because she doesn't want you here. Now, I would advise you to leave so there won't be any problems in this restaurant."

Kyle chuckled a little. "Problems? Alright. Just watch your back."

With that, Kyle walked out of the restaurant.

"Why was he here," Marcus asked me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. He just showed up out if nowhere."

"Well, I'll be at home if you need me." He kissed my forehead.

"Alright."

After Marcus left, the girls and I finished out breakfast and laughed and joked about random things. We were back on our grown woman shit!!
