After setting their coats in their closets, Zayn and Selena had dinner together, (chili) so they could keep warm. Then, Selena hopped in the guest bathroom for a quick warm shower while Zayn cleaned up and made sure everything was tidy. The bed was made to rest and had an extra large dark violet comforter on it to keep her warm and he made her a cup of hot tea with a little honey in it just in case for coughs.
Selena didn't know what to say. She just sighed in awe. Nobody's ever been that generous for her since-- well, you get the picture. But Selena shakes the mental toxic boyfriend image from her head and just looks on in admiration. She really was touched by Zayn's generosity and didn't know how to thank him. "What do you think?", he asks moving past the covers. "It's amazing!", she replies. "Really?" "Yeah." "You like it?" "I hope it's not too much--" "Oh no no no, thank you, Zayn. Thank you very much", she smiles. Moving to her bedside in her pajamas drinking her tea, Zayn just looks at her. She was so happy and he was proud that he helped her. "I'm glad you liked it", Zayn says. "Like? LOVE. I love it!", Selena smiles. He chuckles a little bit. "Well you deserve the best. After all, a crazy day deserves a warm bed and a goodnight's rest." "Yeah", says Selena.

"I was really surprised. Taking me in. Making my bed. Tea. No one's done anything this generous since...well, what's-his-face.", says Selena referring to Justin. "Hey, that will be all over, okay? Whatever's drama is coming back to haunt you is only gonna fade in the end and you're gonna be the one who's stronger. You can stay here, take all the time that you need, rest, we can go out and see your friends, I--". Zayn stops when Selena smiles at him. "I sound like a concerned housewife, don't I?" Zayn asks. Selena laughs. "More like a mother. In a good way!", she laughs. "Well, call me 'Mama Malik"!", Zayn says joking and him and Selena chuckle.

"Yeah. Just wish I could talk to mine much longer...", Selena says. Since she's been with Justin, he's had her cut off from almost all her friends and family, simply because he thinks they're out to get him or her. Zayn touches her chin gently. "You'll find your mum soon. 'Kay? You'll both talk and hug as much as you want because in the end, love is all that matters. Love is everywhere and if you hold onto it, it'll never float away and it'll make you whole again." Selena looks at him same as he looks at her. "Thanks Zayn." "Trust me, it gets better. Well, I gotta turn in. I got to work in the morning."
Zayn kisses her on the forehead and she smiles, making a faint "Hmm". He turns and walks away but stop and asks her. "You gonna be okay?" "Yeah" "Ya sure? Just remember if you need me or anything bad happens, my room's on the left just a few feet over." Selena smiles. "Okay", she giggles. Zayn wanted to sleep but he had to make sure that she was okay. After seeing her smile, he felt content. "Alright. Night, Selena." "Night. Hey, wait!" Zayn stops at her request. "Yeah?", he looks at her. "Thank you for saving me from that guy and everything", says Selena. After struggling with her words, she managed to get them out in a simple thank you which warmed Zayn's heart. "No problem", he smiles at her. "Sweet dreams, Selena."
Turning out her light and closing her door gently, she smiled and went to sleep. He said 'Sweet dreams' but what's in it for Zayn tonight?
After walking down the hallway back to his room, he kept his fingers to his mouth. His mind went on haywire. "I kissed her", he thought. "I kissed her on the forehead goodnight". Zayn couldn't explain it but he felt drawn to Selena in a way he never felt before. Not even before Perrie. After changing, he laid back in his bed shirtless and stared up at the ceiling, just thinking about his move he just made. Tonight, Zayn's mind was like WHOA. After such, he managed to close his eyes shut long enough for some drowsiness to settle in.
