*YOUR POV*
What's that sound? I can hear it, calling out to me... I know it, that voice belongs to someone... A howl only I could recognize."Scout..." I whispered, waiting for him to answer back.
"You're awake!" Lucy cried out happily. I fluttered my eyes open to see a group of young girls around my age comforting each other with tears streaming down their faces and Lucy beside them, chained down with anti-magic cuffs.
"Where are we?" I asked while trying to adapt to my surroundings.
"We're in their truck, heading to who knows where." She sighed, eyeing the tiny window sending fresh air. I tried lifting my body from the steel floor but got up unsuccessfully. I wasn't fully awake yet and I felt so weak from my first spell failure. "Are you alright?" Lucy asked being unable to help me up.
"I don't seem to have any energy right now... But I'll be fine, just need a little more rest." I kept my back pressed against the wall for support. Lucy worried still as it is her nature to be caring and kind. I urged her to stop worrying and to think of something else . "We got to get out of here." I looked around to try and find an opening.
"How? We're both chained and we can't use our magic..."
"Scout's coming with reinforcements." I smiled with satisfaction and hope.
"How do you know?"
"Let's just say he told me." Lucy gazed at me like I was crazy and I laughed in return. If I'm correct, I was able to distinguish 6 faces in here. I was 99% sure they were all girls but in this lighting, I can't be certain.
"Excuse me, do you girls know where we're going?" They all turned their heads and only one answered.
"We dont know but what we do know is that every girl that got kidnapped by these thugs never came back." She whimpered and so did the others. I looked at Lucy and we both sent them a sad regard.
"Hey, we're going to get you girls out of here, that's a promise. After all, we are wizards." I winced with a slight smile to show that this isn't over and now that I think of it, It was the first time I referred myself as a wizard, even Lucy was surprised. I was glad I said it, even in the darkness, you could see the girls reassured and hopeful once again. It was now or never to make a move. I told the girls that whatever happens, act normal until I say the opposite. The vehicle suddenly stopped letting my head hit the wall with a good bang. The doors slowly opened as the blinding rays of the sun chased away the darkness inside the truck. One by one, they escorted the girls out of the truck and soon came our turn. They unshackled us from the truck and kept our handcuffs so we wouldn't be able to hurt them. We jumped off the truck and got tossed on the scorching hot ground. I lifted my head up with difficulty to see a dozen men surrounding us and looking higher I see a giant castle. Well, shit. Their leader appeared before us and showed his amusement through his words.
"Welcome to our Master's castle. You ladies must be wondering why you're here. You girls have actually been chosen! Isn't that exciting!?" He chuckled. "Most of you are needed for your blood... But don't worry, it only hurts a little." He walked from side to side to make sure his message strikes fear. "And one of you will have the honour to help us immensely with our plan... Of course we will need your full cooperation, so be good girls." He crouched down and pinched my chin to meet his daring eyes. Even though I felt weak, I had enough strength to spit in his stupid face. He fell on his ass, completely bewildered from my action and wiped his face with a cloth one of his lackeys brought him.
"Two can play that game, sweetheart." He pulled up his sleeves to show his metal hand. I could feel the shock waves charging up as he grabbed my shirt collar. I closed my eyes shut, waiting for it to happen until a voice emerged from the back.
