Missy's POV

...Today's the day.

The day that my best friend comes back...

And has no memory of me at all.

Nobody really knew how good of friends Virgil and I were. We hung out a lot, and watched movies occasionally in the lounge, but... they didn't know how close our bond was.

But... now? None of that mattered.

I sigh, and stop self depricating. I get out of bed, get ready, and put on a smile. A fake smile.

Walking out of the room, I head into the lounge. All of the other traits are there, and I sit on the couch next to Roman. Everything is silent, and everyone is looking down.

Suddenly, as if just to make things worse, Thomas calls us. The thing about this, is, Thomas didn't lose his anxiety. It just went down a bit, to the point where he only had to double check things, instead of triple check, and stuff like that.

I look up at everyone, and they look back. We all sigh, and sink down into the physical world. "Hi guy- woah, what's wrong?" Thomas asks, looking around at us.

Well, he was right. We all look... sad. My hair is a darker shade of purple, along with everyone else's. Thomas's is visibly lighter, yet the normal shade of purple he had dyed it.

I hold back a sigh, and the urge to explain everything to him. To just... break down, spill all my feelings out to him.

But I hold it in, fighting my grief with a light smile. "Nothing, Thomas. It's just a bit of a... lazy day. You know?"

He doesn't seem to ask anymore questions of that topic. He explains what video we are going to be making, and we shoot it. After he calls over Joan and Talyn to hang out and help him edit, we all sink down, and back into the mind palace.

I look at the front doors to the mind palace, which lead to the forest of memories. The doors suddenly, and slowly, open.

Virgil! He looks.... confused. And anxious. Well, that one makes sense.

Patton rushes over. "Hey there, kiddo! My name is Patton! You can call me dad!" He smiles his widest smile. Logan walks over next.

"My name is Logan. I am the logical trait of Thomas, whom you will be the anxious trait for." Logan slightly smiles, a rare thing to happen. Virgil nods hesitantly.

Roman walks over. "Hello there!" His voice booms, but in a good way. "My name is Prince Roman! I am all creativity and romance!" He smiles as well.

I walk over last. "Hey there! I'm Misleading Compliments. Just call me Missy!" My smile is wide. Virgil nods again.

"Uh... I'm Anxiety." He murmurs. "Nice to meet you, kiddo! You want to stay here and talk, or..?" Patton trails off. "Um... I'll just... go to my room," Virgil murmurs again.

We all nod. "Alright! I see you later, Anxiety!" I say, smiling still. Virgil nods, scurrying off to his room.

After we are sure Virgil is gone, we all frown. I break down, sliding down the wall, crying. Patton comes over to e, engulfing me in a large hug. "I'm sorry, Missy..." he says, petting my hair. I just sob in response.

We sit there for hours, grieving over the loss of our old friend, who doesn't remember anything about any of us.
