Chapter three: Waterfall rumble

-Waterfall, a few hours later-

As Kurse and Frisk arrived at Waterfall, neither could deny that it looked beautiful. For starters the scenery was just stunning to them. "Wow, this place is beautiful isn't it?" Kurse asked Frisk, the human child nodded and could say the same if they could. 'It's like a paradise for water monsters...' they signed, 'It amazes me how the Underground is so vibrant.' Kurse smiled, then heard Frisk's stomach growl. They then chuckled nervously. "Let's stop here and eat." Kurse said, "We still have a ways to go, 'til we get to the Capital." Frisk nodded before sitting down, Kurse then brought out some food. "Bon appetit." Kurse said, and the duo started eating.

"There's many kinds of magic out there." Kurse explained, Frisk had asked the Changeling about magic and what it did. "Some are...more destructive then others..." 'How so?' Frisk signed, 'and what types of magic are there?' "Well there are two kinds, there's normal magic which I know you've seen..." Kurse paused, he almost seemed...hesitant to continue. "And Dark Magic." He said darkly, "Dark Magic is by it's very nature...dark and in the wrong hands evil, it's unique in that the higher your LV, the more powerful the spells become." 'So it gets stronger the higher your LOVE?' Frisk signed curiously, Kurse nodded. "Yes exactly." He confirmed, "However LOVE is an acronym, it's short for 'Level Of Violence', and EXP is also an acronym, it stands for 'Execution Points'." Frisk shook a bit, 'Can I check your LV?' They signed, 'I'm just curious.' Kurse nodded and Frisk used Check on him. 'Kurse, 60 atk, 60 def, 9999 LV,' "Look kid, I've done things I'm not proud of..." Kurse confessed, "But I would never hurt a friend, but some Changelings are adept with Dark Magic...sadly I'm one of them." he then put his hand on Frisk's shoulder as if saying 'I'm not a heartless killer' they just smiled, 'I know you're not a bad guy.' They signed, 'a bad guy wouldn't try to be friends with me.' Kurse returned the smile, but then got tense, he Sensed something or more acurately someONE. "So you're Undyne hmm?" He asked, "That's right punk." Undyne confirmed, "Now stand aside, that human's SOUL is needed." Kurse stepped in front of Frisk who was shaking a bit. "Stay behind me Frisk." He said calmly, "She won't get your Soul." He then glared up at Undyne. "You want their SOUL?" Kurse challenged, "Then you go through me first." A FIGHT initiated, Kurse used Analyze on Undyne. 'Undyne, 8 atk, 0 def, 10 LV, 80 hp, don't underestimate her, she is the current Royal Guard captain, something seems familiar about her...' "Stand down or..." Kurse said before pausing, "You're gonna have a bad time..." Undyne stood there and readied a Justice Spear attack, she then launched the Spears only to have them be met by Blood Spears as the two attacks collided in the middle, Undyne used Judge on Kurse to get a better understanding of her opponent. 'Kurse the Changeling, 60 atk, 60 def, 9999 LV, 200 Hp, obviously not an opponent to underestimate.' Kurse then summoned a Bone Blade and swung at Undyne who blocked with her spear. "Ngh...you're strong!" She said, "But you're not gonna win!" "Tch please..." Kurse said, breaking the lock. "I've killed humans with more strength then you...but your skill is worth noting." He then summoned a Blood Spear in his left hand. "Let's go..." he challenged, Undyne heeded and rushed forward meeting her opponent in the middle of the arena. "Show me what you've learned kid!" Kurse shouted, Undyne's eye widened, she remembered who she was fighting now. "You... you're still alive?" She said, "But that human..." "They ran me through, yes." Kurse admited, "But I've been given a second chance. So kid, please move, or be moved..." Undyne sighed, "Sorry K, but I have my orders..." she said, Kurse sighed. "And I have a friend to protect." He replied, "I'm done messing around. 'Crack'" the middle of Kurse's forehead cracked before it opened revealing a third eye. "I'm gonna tear your guts out!" Then a four eyed Gaster blaster appeared from behind him and charged up. Undyne barely had time to defend herself before she was assaulted by Gaster blasters firing at her, their crimson beams were never meant to kill her...no that wasn't Kurse's plan. "You're not fighting me seriouly K!" Undyne shouted, "What are you trying to be anyway!?" Kurse smirked. "A distraction..." he said before teleporting away,

Undyne collapsed from the sudden heat, however Frisk had given her water which cooled her off, Undyne then left the two and Kurse had returned to the one Frisk knew best. "Sorry about the scare." Kurse apologized, "Hard to believe she chased us for a full damn day." 'She was determined, that's for sure.' Frisk signed, 'But so were you...no one's ever stood up for me like that before.' Kurse smiled at them. "Hey that's what friends are fo-" he started but froze when he Sensed an immense amount of...bloodlust, he knew this feeling well. And judging from how Frisk was shaking, they felt it to. "My my...you're a hard guy to find." Said a voice all too familiar to Kurse, the Changeling snarled and summoned a Bone Blade, he knew who that voice belonged to. "Chara..."
