01 | That Night

Marinette' s POV

*beep* My arm flung out of my bed and smashed the snooze button. I was already wide awake from last night. It all happened so fast, I was trying to picture it in my head.

*Last Night*
I heard someone walk up behind me, I turned around and saw him. Standing there. Looking perfect.

"Hey Ladybug," said Adrien.

"Adrien!! What are you doing up here?" I asked surprised.

"I...um...saw you up here...and wanted to say hi. Um...hey," he said awkwardly waving his hand.

"Hey, Adrien. Just checking around one last time. It's so pretty up here," I turned around and saw the beautiful view in front of me.

All the lights were so

I heard him walk up next to me.

I turned to him, "Um, Adrien. Since your up here, there's something I've been meaning to tell you."

"Anything for you m'lady," he said as he took a bow.

"I've noticed you around Paris and all. I was wondering if you...um..." ugh here I go again nervous, stuttering if only I have the courage to just say it...

"I like you, Adrien. I like you!!" I slapped myself in the head, I said that out loud.

He just laughed nervously. Ugh, I'm so stupid I can't keep my mouth shut.

He said, "I like you too, Ladybug."

Those words. OMG...he actually said them. They came out of HIS mouth!! I just stood there, mouth wide open.

A voice yelled out, "Adrien, your father wishes to speak to you about the party tomorrow!!"

"You're going to a party tomorrow?" I asked.

He said, "Yea, there is this girl named Chloe in my class and she is hosting a party. My dad wants me to go since her dad is mayor and all, but..."

"You don't wanna go," I said finishing his sentence.

"Yea kinda like that, although it would make it more fun if you came along, Chloe's not all that bad once you get to know her," he said nervously, obviously wanting me to come along. I didn't really want to say no to hanging out with Adrien, but, as Ladybug. I already promised Alya to go with her, and a promise is a promise.

"Sorry, Adrien, I...um, already have plans for tomorrow. But I really wish I could come."

"That's ok. I hope to see you soon bug-a-boo," he said as he walked away. After he left I just stood there. Awed. He actually likes me.

*Back in the Morning*
*Sigh* Perfect. Last night was almost close to perfect. Besides me being a klutz and saying that I like him. But I guess it was all worth it, are we dating? Friends with benefits? Or just friends?

"Marinette, breakfast is ready. You coming downstairs?" My mom yelled.

"Yea, coming mom. Be right there!"

I ran downstairs ate my cereal, hugged and kissed my parents and ran to school.
When I got to school I sat down next to my best friend, Alya. She was talking to Nino, Adriens best friend. As soon as I sat down she hugged me.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Marinette"

"What? Why? What happened?" I asked.

"My ladybug sources say she and Adrien were talking last night. Word on the street they are together"

Together?!? People think Adrien and Ladybug are together? I wonder what Adrien thinks.

"Oh, what. Really?" I asked.

"Yea, girl don't you read my ladyblog?"

I don't really need to read her blog since I kinda know what's going on with Ladybug before her.

"Oh well, I bet they will be so cute together. Don't you think?"

She looked at me all weirdly. What was she staring at? She started touching my forehead and all over my face.

"Are you feeling ok? Your all-time crush who you, not to mention, obsess over is dating Ladybug!!"

"I don't obsess over him! And maybe I think him and Ladybug look good together."

She just stared at me. Finally, Adrien walked in and sat next to Nino. I could hear Nino asking Adrien all questions about him and Ladybug. He just blushed and avoided the questions. Oh no, here comes Chloe. *eye roll*

"Adrikins, I heard you and Ladybug were an item. Is it true?" She asked.

"Um, last night I did tell her I like her, but I don't know if we are together," he said as he scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Mm, well if I were you I would forget about Ladybug. She's just some superhero wannabe," she said as she checked her manicured nails.

Rage was boiling inside of me. I walked up to her, glaring.

"Um... Marinette I know I'm pretty and all but you don't have to stare. SABRINA!!!"
Sabrina rushed out of her seat and stood next to Chloe.

"Give Marinette here a picture of me"

"Chloe I don't want a picture of you. And Ladybug isn't some superhero wannabe. You're one to talk she saved your life, oh how many times? And not to mention you caused most of them. Kim, Alix, Alya, Nathan, Mylene, and Wang Cheng."

"Oh Marinette, stop being so dramatic."

"Chloe, Marinette had a point," said Alya standing up.

The teacher walked in.

"Ok, class settle down and have a seat," said our teacher, Miss. Bustier.
