Keith's POV

I hope she believed every word I said, Lauryn means everything to me . I don't want to lose her or hurt her, but I soon need t tell her that I will be leaving , I almost forgot the whole reason I came to Sacramento. My manager thinks I'm here to meet up with fans, but the main reason was to see Lauryn. I got so side track with it. I don't know when I'll tell her , but it sure as hell won't be now. I'm just now telling her how I feel about her, that would fuck up everything between us.

"I have to go get my blood drawn. But can we talk later or something ?"

She said , with hope in her eyes.

I licked my lips. "Yes, or just come by-"

I quickly pulled out my phone, to show her my where I'm staying.

"I'm staying at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, just call me whenever you're there."

"Okay." She said softly.

I gently pushed back her curly strand of hair, that always covered her face, and gave her a light kiss on the cheek. She gave no response to it.

"Bye." I said while walking towards the doors.

Lauryn's POV

"Ma'ma, we're still waiting on you."

The nurse from earlier said, from behind.

I quickly snapped out it, and turned around.

"Yes, sorry I-"

"No , I get it young love."

She smiled.

"I guess." I made a light smile back.

"Well , come on." She gestured.

5 minutes later , we made it to Ryan's floor.

"Did you eat anything today ?" The nurse questioned, while writing on her metal clipboard.

"Um, just a banana. "

I lied.

I just wanted to give Ryan the help she needs, since Amber won't do might as well be me.

We were walking down the halls, and each and every door was getting closer to Ryan's.

"Do you know your blood type ?" She asked.

"No, but my auntie use to say I was O-."

"Well before we start the blood transfusion, I'll check ."

As we made it to her door, I stopped.

"What if I am not compatible with her?"

The nurse stopped.

"What happens if I'm not, her parents won't let her get blood from no one else."

The nurse rubbed my arm, "Honey don't worry, it doesn't hurt to try ."

She opened the door, the room was quiet, Ryan wasn't in the bed.

"Where is she ?" I said.

"She getting cleaned up right now, being in a coma like she was, did a toll on her body."

She answered while placing her clipboard down, then grabbing a needle out of a secured cabinet.

I sat down in a fabric wooden chair, that was close to the door. My hands were getting sweaty, I was so nervous.

What if I'm unable to give blood, what if I'm not O-, will Ryan die ?

"Relax hon, it'll be quick." She said while prepping the needle.

"That's kinda hard to do, when your best friend's life is in your hands." I said worriedly .

She then came over , and prepped my arm, placing a tight rubber band around it, then sanitizing where the needle will be going.

"And O- is a universal donor, so if the test come out right , you won't have to worry anymore."

She said trying to put me at ease.

I tilt my head back, before she began.

"Alright, 1, 2, 3." She said before injecting the syringe into me.

20 minutes later

A knocked came at the door.

"Yes !" I shouted.

The same nurse came back in,

"Usually our blood test systems take within 24 hours to get back results, but yours seemed to have already been in our data systems."

"What ?" I said.

She handed me, a document of my blood work , that look like dated back when I was born.

"My auntie said my mom gave birth to me at home, wouldn't I have these paper works at home ?"

"Well maybe your mother, went straight to the hospital after giving birth to you." She said.

"But sadly, your not O-, instead you're B-."

I sat in confusion, I didn't understand why my auntie would lie.

"Miss ?"

"Oh , okay ." I said dryly.

"I know you wanted to help your friend , but at least your tried, to her that's something. She's lucky to have a friend like you."

I know the nurse was trying to make thing better , but its wasn't helping. Tears started forming , but I wasn't going to let them show.

"What's Ryan's blood type ?" I asked.

"She's A+. Why do you know someone who's compatible ?"

A thought of Amber came to mind, I remember her telling me she telling she was A+.
