I wake up to the sounds of birds chirping, the raze of the sun shining in between my long vertical blinds that lead out to my room's balcony. The smell of bacon, eggs, and toast fill my nose making my mouth water at the delicious scent, I take a deep breath in hailing the goodness of the food and almost tasting it. I glance around my home suite bedroom and look at my digital clock, 9:20. I manage to pull myself out of bed. I sit at the side of my bed rubbing my eyes for a few minutes until they adjusted to the light. An uncontrollable yawn escapes my mouth leaving a voice behind it. I slap my hands down on my lap as if gravity was no longer in the room. As I start to remove the hair from in front of my face pushing it back, I put my slippers one and make my way to the bathroom. I look into the mirror and see that my perfect classic ponytail was now a lion's mane, my dark green eyes were now lighter, and my face was slightly less tan than I remembered. I let down my hair letting it sway side to side before running my grey brush through the little tangles at the end. I squeeze my eyes shut in pain when I hit that special tangle that wants to hurt you so badly.

"Ow." I say quietly.

I get the nap out and continue brushing my hair to the back of my head leaving my bangs falling in front of my face. I try to blow my bangs away but they keep falling back to their place. I reach over to my little basket, pull out a black head band, and slide it back to my hair to keep my bangs from falling down again. I look in the mirror with satisfaction before heading downstairs. I walk down the white glossy staircase of the mansion and proceed my way into the kitchen.

"Good morning." I say leaning up against the wooden brown artificial island that stood in the middle of the kitchen.

"Good morning." My mother replies.

"Whatcha making?" I ask skipping merrily to her side.

"Breakfast." She answers while checking on the bacon.

"It smells good." I smile.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"Yeah, when's it going to be done?" I ask while looking at the eggs.

"When it's done." She answers.

"Well no duh, mom." I laugh while walking into the livingroom.

"Where's dad?"

"He left for his flight to Arizona last night." She replies.

"And he didn't say goodbye,m-m-m the nerve of that guy." I say playingly shaking my head.

"Yeah, well he was running late." She tries to protect him.

"He still should've said bye to me, how long will he be gone?"  I ask.

"A few months."

"So he's going to be missing my birthday..... great." I sigh.

"He's going to make it up to you, i guarantee it."

"Sure he will." I whisper to myself.

My mom walks out of the kitchen with two plates and sits besides me.

"Here." She says while handing me my plate of food.

I take the plate from her hands, "Thanks."

I pick up the toast and take a bite.

"It taste good." I swallow.

"What are going to do now, send a picture to Tara?" Mom laughs.

"Yep."

I pick up my phone and unlock it typing in my password and opening my contacts.
