"AHHHHH!!!!!!!" I hear Tara's scream come from somewhere around me. I'm searching my way through the forest in front of me.
"Where are you Tara!" I yell, still looking for her. The sun was still out but slowly creeping down behind the hills a few miles away from me.
"Tara!" I yell again even more scared.
"AHHHHHH!!!!!!" I hear another deadly scream come from her.
I feel like I'm getting closer but by the sounds of her screams I'm far away.
"Tara, where are you!" I repeat tripping over sticks but also catching my falls.
"Carmen!" She yells.
The sounds of her voice are getting closer as I chase her screams.
"Tara?" I ask slowing down feeling as if I was close enough to her.
"Tara!" I scream into the air.
I feel someone creep up behind me giving me the cold shivers running up my spine.
"Rah!" Tara screams while jumping on my back.
"Ah!" I scream while closing my eyes tightly.
"Tara!" I yell catching my breath, "What is wrong with you you've got me scared to death! running in the woods to find you, are you serious?!"
She laughs in my face which make me even more frustrated than I already was.
"I was just playing around with you." She smiles.
"You seriously almost gave me a heart attack, Tara!" I yell stomping off towards my house.
"Carmen wait!" She yells. I can hear her feet running towards me and feel her hand land on my shoulder turning me around towards her.
"It was a joke, Carmen."
"Do you see me laughing." I point to my face.
"No, but I am."
"Whatever."
I push my way through her and continue to walk.
"I know you thought that was funny."
"No it was't, you think everything is funny when it's not." I complain.
"No, you just can't take a joke like everyone else can."
"Yeah, says for you."
"Are you mad at me?" She asks.
"Oh, no it's just that I like stomping and trying to get away from you with an attitude." I say sarcastically.
"You won't be mad at me for long."
"Yeah and why not?" I say opening the screen door and entering my house.
"Because I know."
She skips up by my side from behind me. I look at her in disgust.
"What?" She asks throwing her hands up in the air.
I take my focus off of her and open the door, I try to shut it in her face but she hits my door.
"I know you did not just try to slam your door in my face."
"Yeah I did." I said with an attitude sitting on my bed.
"What is up?" She says raising her voice throwing her arms out.
"I told you about 100 times do NOT scare me like that!" I yell.
"Well I'm sorry you can't take a joke like a normal person!"
"That wasn't a joke, because it wasn't funny, you got me worried sick that something really happened to you!" I yell louder.
"You know what Carmen, if you can't take a joke then don't even talk to me, because you know that it was funny but your way to serious to actually laugh at something for once."
"What do you mean 'for once'?" I ask bending my pointer and middle fingers.
"It means what it sounds like." She sasses.
"You know what Tara, get out, get out of my room, get out of my house, get out of my life! Because I'm not going to hang out with someone who DOES think everything has to be a joke!"
"Fine then, because I'm not going to hang out with someone who can't laugh at a little joke that was obviously funny!"
"Fine!" I yell.
"Fine." She finishes stomping out of my room slamming the door behind her leaving all of my pictures shaking on the wall.
"YYYAAAHHH!" I scream getting up and running towards my dresser knocking every single one of my pictures of Tara and I off and smashing them to the floor. I pull all of my blankets and sheets off of my bed and throw them off. I take my pillows and throw them across my room into the wall hitting my hanging decorations. I scream again and tears start falling down my eyes onto my cheeks as I continue to turn my room into a disaster area. I tear my white curtains off of my windows and throw them at my dresser. I hear my door open but I can't stop screaming and crying. I feel someone grab me by my shoulder and swing me over towards them.
"Carmen, stop, what are you doing!?" My mom yells.
I still can't stop crying and I try to open my eyes but my tears are clouding up my vision.
"Tara!" I cry.
"Did you two get into a fight?" She says more calmingly.
I nod my head unable to speak through my tears.
"It's okay, Carmen."
She pulls me closer into a hug and starts to rub my back in circles trying to comfort me. I hug her tight and continue to cry and breathe heavily into her shoulder.
"It's alright Carmen, just calm down, you two will make up soon."
I shake my head disagreeingly, "No we won't, I don't want to, she's not my friend and I don't want her to be." I stutter.
"Trust me you will forgive her and want to be her friend again, I know."
I shake my head again.
"Yes." She says again.
I lift my head from her shoulder and look into her eyes, "I don't want her to be my friend," I cry, "I hate her, I don't want to see her again! I HATE YOU TARA!!!" I scream into the air with my eyes tightly closed shut.
"Carmen don't say that." She says.
"No I mean it!" I yell.
"No you don't."
"Yes I do!" I cry again, she pulls me back into her arms again.
"It's okay." She starts rubbing my back again, "You'll make up."
