2 Days From My B-Day

I'm still laying in bed after a long day of nothing. My legs are spread out and I'm laying on my stomach. My head is moved to the side and I'm starring at my wall playing with my white bed sheet. I'm hardly moving, my heart rate is going slow, and my blinks come every so often, but not much. I'm bored without Tara, and I will admit it. But she gets on my nerves so much that I can't stand being around her sometimes. She's annoying, and she thinks everything is a joke. If something really did happen to her and she was screaming I wouldn't try to find her, I mean, I'd think she was messing around with me again.

"Just learn how to take a joke like a normal person!"

Yeah well learn how to make jokes that are funny. I hear my door open and someone walk in.

"Carmen." My mom says lightly.

I pull my blanket over my head and hold it down tight.

"Carmen." I feel my mom sit by my stomach.

"Carmen." My mom starts to rub my back.

"Look, just because you and Tara aren't friends doesn't mean you have to stay in bed all day."

"Yes it does."

"No it doesn't, come on get up, go to something."

"No." I say.

"Okay, it's your lost." My mom gets up and exits my room.

"Finally." I whisper taking my blanket off from over my head.

'Beeeep'

I sit up and search for my lost phone somewhere under my blanket. I find it under my pillow and check it.

Tara: Hey.

I stare at my phone and try to decide if I should text her back or leave it alone.

Me: What!

Tara: I'm sorry about what happened yesterday.

Me: Good.

Tara: Can you forgive me, plz.

Me: Why should I forgive you, after what you did.

Tara: I'm sorry, and because I'm your best friend.

Me: You WERE my best friend.

Tara: Please forgive me Carmen.

Me: No.

Tara: PLEASE!!!!!!!

Me: No.

Tara: Yes, I know you're bored without me.

Me: I'm not bored without you, I'm fine.

Tara: Your mom just texted me, I know you're bored.

Me: Leave me alone, Tara.

Tara: Forgive me first.

Me: No Tara!

Tara: Yes!

Me: NO!

Tara: Please.

Me: Fine Tara, leave me alone.

Tara: You forgive me?

Me: Sure.

Tara: YAY THANK YOU!!!!

Me: ..........

I lock my phone and put it on my lap.

"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea. SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!!!"

Sponge bob was on. I groan and pull myself out of my bed. I take a long stretch on my toes and stretch out my arms. I decide to go downstairs, since I feel a little better.

"Hello mother." I say walking step by step down the stairs.

"Oh well look on who decided to come out of her shell." My mom says turning her head towards me.

"Yeah well Tara texted me and apologized."

"Oh."

I sit down besides my mom, "She also told me that you told her about what happened last night."

My mother looks at me with a sarcastic "I don't know what you're talking about" look.

"What?" She smiles no longer making eye contact with me.

"Yeah... yeah you didn't think she'd tell me huh?"

"I'm sorry Carma, but I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Yeah, okay." I say sarcastically.

"Well at least you two are friends again, right?"

"Yeah but, I'm still mad at her."

"Forgive her, she apologized."

"No I'm still mad at her."

"Well when are you going to forgive her?"

"I don't know, when I wont to."

My mom looks at me with a confused look, "You're so spoiled."

"I am not spoiled!"

"Yes you are, you know, someday you won't have any friends from your attitude."

"I don't have an attitude." I say.

"Yeah you do."

"Whatever mom."

"See, right there." My mom points out.

"Yeah, Yeah."

"Are you hungry?" My mom asks.

"No."

"Are you sure you haven't eaten dinner yesterday."

"I'm sure, I'm not hungry."

"Okay." My mom says turning her attention back to the tv.

"I'm bored." I throw my head back on the couch and feel my mother look at me. She takes a bite of her chip.

"Didn't you and Tara just make up?"

"Yes."

"Go text her or hang out with her, don't just stay inside all day."

"I went outside yesterday, and the day before." I say looking at her.

"Go do something."

"No, I'm to lazy to."

"You know what Carmen?"

"No I don't know what."

My mom looks at me with a "You don't want to hear me say  it" kind of look signaling me to back off before she throws me across the room.

"Okay, sheesh." I back off.

"If you don't go do something then I don't want to hear you complaning about being bored, okay?"

"Yeah." I say looking away.

Way to ruin my day, mom. Why is my life so boring? I exhale loudly and see my mom look at me in annoyance in the corner of my eye.

"What?!" I ask her still looking at the tv.

My moms' mouth drops open, "Go to your room."

I look in my mom in disbelief, "What why?" I raise my voice.

"Because I am getting sick and tired of your attitude lately!" My mom yells.

I get up off of the couch and throw a pillow at the wall.

"Pick it up!" My mom yells.

I ignore her and stomp up the stairs. I pick up a shoe that was at the top of the staircase and throw it at a door. I reached my door and swung it open slamming it behind me leaving the pictures on my wall shake. 'Why was she yelling at me, she never yells at me what is going on with her!' I pick up a pillow from my bed and throw it at my dresser. Tears start falling down my eyes in frustration.

"I HATE YOU!!!" I scream.
