Anyway, Wren was very much different from the others, and in more ways than one. He kept to himself, keeping everyone (except me) at a distance with his glare.

After I had mostly gotten over his stare, I had attempted approaching him. But as soon as I got close enough to speack with him, he would glare at me and leave, without saying a word. The thought had crossed my mind that I had never heard him speack before, like, at ALL! And that just peacked my interest even further.

His constent avoidence of comunication frustrated me to the point where I had to run through the forest to blow some steam. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and when I lifted my head to see where I was, I found myself completely lost!

I tried to find my way back, but only ended up wandering deeper into the woods. I was hopelessy lost in the forest with no help in sight. So I did the best thing I could think of... I sat, in the dirt, and waited.

Over the past few years, I had grown a liking to staying in my cat form for long periods of time, so consideration of any issues that went along with being a small cat hadn't crossed my mind... BIG mistake!!

I was nodding off when a feral snarl behind me caught my attention. I whipped around, the fur on my back and neck spicking up. Large yellow eyes glowed from the shadows as the creature slipped out from behind the bushes. It was a big, terrifying, snarling WOLF!!

I was paralyzed in terror, not a muscle moved, besides my pounding heart. I didn't know what to do! I couldn't outrun it... it was so much bigger than me, so I couldn't fight him off... I would climb a tree, but I'm smarter than that... the only thing I COULD do was close my eyes and pray to whatever god that I would come out of this alive and in one peice.

In the dark of my closed eyes, I heard the wolf growl menacingly before I heard a grunt and claws scarping the dirt as I invisioned the wolf leaping towards me...

I sat, shivering, waiting for my enevitable demise to come, painfully and quickly...

But it never came...

I opened one eye and wondered what was taking so long for death to come, cuz I knew it would... what I saw absolutely shook me! It was Wren, as a cat, his hackles raised as he faced off with the wolf, three, bleeding slash marks on his right eye.

"Are you gonna fight or what?" Wren spat through ground teeth.

It took me a moment to realize that he had just told me to fight. I was still shocked that he was HERE, that he was in his CAT form, and that he had just SAID WORDS... to ME!!

"Well..?"

I shook my head of all the fuzzynes and lowered into a battle stance, baring my teeth and let rip a vicious hiss! Wren and I worked together to kick that dog's furry butt and then rested in Neko form. We both caught our breath and relaxed against a tree.

My tail swished in the dirt as I leaned my head against the rough bark.

"You're pretty tough... for a girl..." he muttered

"Uhm, excuse me!?" I snapped.

"Jeez, nevermind! I was tryin' to give you a compliment, but whatever!" He huffed.

"Do you WANT a big, ol' scar on your face? Cuz I'd be happy to give you one!!"

He just huffed and stood without saying a word. He started walking into the trees before looking over his shoulder and giving me an icy stare.

"You comin' or what?"

I narrowed my eyes and glared at him. "I don't know if I should..."

He shrugged. "Fine, then don't. Your choice." And with that, he disappeared into the woods.

My eyes widened as I scrambled up, running after him. I saw him running through the trees and easily caught up to him, jumping in front and blocking his path.

"What is your problem?" I demanded.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Now if you'll excuse me..." He side stepped and tried to get by me, but I stepped with him and blocked him again.

"No! You're not going ANYWHERE before I get answers, whether you like it or not!"

"Ugh, you are such a PAIN!"

"Ya, so are you, ya hypocrite. Now start talking!"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"Cuz I don't like you."

"Well, the feeling's mutual. TALK!"

"That's a lie."

"W-what?!"

"Don't lie."

"What makes you think I'm lying?"

"You said you don't like me. That's a lie."

"WHAT?! You idiot, I DON'T like you. In fact, I HATE you, and I don't know WHY you're even HERE right now!! If you don't LIKE me, why did you even HELP me in the FIRST PLACE??!!"

He was silent.

"Well?"

"Because you've been through enough already. You don't deserve to go through anymore." He stated flatly.

His answer caught me completely of guard. I was struck speechless. All I could do was stare at him with wide eyes, and gape like a stupid fish.

He scoffed. "Close your mouth! Unless you want to catch flies..." He stepped past me again, this time I let him go... kinda...

Instictivly, my hand shot out and grabbed his arm, grasping it tightly. I whipped around and looked into his confused eyes.

"What are you doing? Let go!"

"No."

"Let GO!"

"NO!!"

"WHY THE HELL NOT!?!"

"BECAUSE I'M NOT GOING TO!! THAT'S WHY!!"

"That's the DUMBEST excuse I've EVER HEARD!!"

"SO WHAT? I told you, I'm not letting you go anywhere until I get some answers... and you're gonna give 'em to me!"

"And if I don't?"

"Then I guess we're gonna be here a while!"

He glared down at me, his gaze so cold it could freeze blood. Then he reluctently closed his eyes and sighed.

"Let's just get it over with so I can get the hell out of here..."

I smiled sarcasticly. "Good boy..."

"Don't call me that EVER again!"

I grinned evily. "And if I do?"

He glared at me again. "You will NOT like what happens..."
