It's been a week since Chris came back from anger management and I can honestly say I've seen a big difference in his behaviour and attitude towards other people. On one occasion he managed to walk past Aubrey without threatening to kill him or giving him a death glare and that's what surprised me the most seeing as Chris had so much hatred for him. I'm proud of him and I can finally say that a piece of my heart has once returned.
"You know what we gotta do now that I'm back?" Chris asked as we walked hand in hand along the park.
Chris had decided to take me to the park not only to get some fresh air but to get away from the house. He wanted time alone with me and didn't want to get disrupted by his mom.
"No, what?" I asked as he slung his arm loosely over my shoulder. I glanced up at him to see a smirk on his face as we continued to walk over the green grass.
"We gotta get our own house so we can have space and privacy" he said as I smiled.
Chris and I had planned to get a house of our own before he went of to anger management but when we discussed it it was less important than now. Now it was crucial that we got a house to call our own.
"Yeah I was working on that while you were away. I found some pretty good houses" I explained as Chris' arm moved down to my waist. We stopped at a dark brown bench and sat down as Chris made a face of thought.
"What you thinking 'bout babe?" I asked nudging his side slightly as he looked down at me locking his hands with mine.
"I was just thinking about houses in other places, I mean would you want to move out somewhere more... exotic?" he suggested as I tensed up.
The word move just made me tense up and let all the thoughts I've been having resurface in my mind. I only just remembered that my mom had told me that we had to move last week and that she was looking for a smaller house for us to live in, my dad obviously not included.
"What's wrong?" Chris asked squeezing my hand gently knocking me out my stance of looking off into the distance thinking about future complications.
"N-nothing that sounds like a great idea" I mumbled giving him what I thought was a reassuring smile, I could tell he wasn't buying it but he smiled nonetheless.
"Babe look at me" he said, his voice sounding demanding yet soft and gentle. I turned my head to look him in the eyes and I could tell something was on his mind. I gave him a small smile as he continued to talk.
"You know you can tell me anything, and I'll always listen neither would I judge you" he said as I nodded my head.
"Yeah I know that" I said nodding my head and leaning in to kiss his cheek. He smirked at me and glanced down at my lips before his eyes travelled back to mine.
"Good, I just wanted to make sure you knew that" he whispered looking down at my lips again. I could tell what he wanted so I just leaned in and kiss him slow and softly as he adjusted his head to fit his lips on mine perfectly.
After making out for a minute we pulled away and I giggled when I saw that he still had his eyes closed.
"Alright let's go back now, I wanna tell my momma that we're going house hunting today" I nodded and jumped off the bench with Chris in tow. He grabbed my hand again and we started walking back to his house.
After five minutes of strolling hand in hand, we were walking up the porch to Chris' house. He pushed the door open, and like usual momma J was in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove.
"What's up momma?" Chris asked with his loud mouth walking into the kitchen. Momma J gave him a stern look and I giggled shaking my head and following Chris into the kitchen.
