5 DAYS LATER

Dani's p.o.v

It's been 5 days since I saw the British stranger, Chris. And I still regret not giving him my number. I fucked up, real bad. He seemed so interested in me and I thought he was so sweet and amazing and, not to mention, incredibly sexy.

After he gave me the vinyl, I have not once let it out of my sight. I hold it and take care of it like it's a child. I know, it's weird, I'm obsessing over a random vinyl some guy gave me. But its so special and significant. He didn't need to give me it, he could have kept it. But, he decided to give me it. And that's something not many people would have done. And finally, he was the only man I ever met that made me feel so special. This vinyl represents everything I could have had if I gave him my number.

On the bright side, Avery is okay. She went into the ER because she went into a coma and got badly hurt. She's awake now and it was funny because when she woke up, the first thing she said was "DID WE MISS THE CONCERT?!?" She was so relieved to hear we didn't miss it. She was released from the hospital the next day, but was told to be careful since she had a broken arm. But, that did not stop her from seeing Muse.

So here I am, in a cab going to Madison Square Garden at 10 am just to get a spot in line to see Muse. Today is concert day. Avery and Jamia have been waiting in line since 4 am. They were first and second in line. Even though Avery may have a broken arm, she will still beat your ass if you try to take her spot.

I get to the venue and see where the line starts, and in the very front, I see Jamia and Avery. It's a fairly rainy day so, there aren't many people in line. I get to the line and greet the girls.

"Hey guys!"

Avery turns and jumps over to me and gives me a half-hug since one of her arms isn't working at the moment. The two girls are wearing matching Muse shirts and alien shoes. They have their stuff placed next to the railing of the line. They're wearing ponchos and sunglasses and have a crazed, fangirl look in their eyes. Ahhh, the things concerts does to people.

"OMG OMG DANI FINALLY YOU GOT HERE. WOMAN I WAS ABOUT ABANDON ALL HOPE ON YOU. YOU'RE SO LATE WHAT THE HELL. NEXT TIME GET HERE EARLIER. NOW GIVE ME YOUR DAMN ARM" Jamia yelled.

"Oh my god, it's 10 in the morning. Normally I wake up at 12 when I'm on holiday. You're lucky I got up for this, I didn't want to come anyways."

"Are you still depressed over that guy?!? ITS BEEN 5 DAYS YOU AREN'T GOING TO SEE HIM AGAIN! Dani, you'll meet someone new. Don't be a Debby downer." Avery said. With her good arm, she grabbed a sharpie and wrote on my arm the number 13. That's my number in line so I can save my spot on line.

I got into the line and sat with the girls. We chatted a bit and listened to music on Jamia's speaker before she turned to me with a shocked face.

"HOLY SHIT! Before I forget, this is the poster I made for you to hold up for Chris." The blonde handed me a blue and red poster in the shape of a heart. The poster had the words of encouragement for the bassist named Chris.  Who's name once again, reminded me of the beautiful British man I met in the record shop.

I put it down after looking at it and put it back into the bag with the other posters. I muttered a "thank you" and looked at the time. It was 12:27 pm.
