Confused at the gold liquid, I looked down to my pup. Gold normally meant high ranking, such as king and queen area. "Who are you?" I questioned before continuing with the process. I slowly dipped him into the gold water, fully submerging him. This part always gave me the chills because we had to keep them submerged for 10 seconds. Counting down, I could feel in my arms bones breaking and shifting into human form.
Once the 10 seconds was up I brought Beowulf up and a gasp escaped my mouth once looking at him. He had pale white hair that curled at the ends and pale white skin. Gold covered his entire body, only spots available to me to see his skin and hair.
"My dear child." I almost screamed when noticing a floating lady. A beautiful lady at that. She was floating close to me. Her body seeming unaffected by the gold liquid, heck the whole radius around her looked to be clear water.
She stared into space, tranquility seem to surround her. For some reason I was calm and not freaking out that a naked lady was bearing witness to my sons transformation. "Who are you?" I questioned and she only smiled.
"I am the whispers in the wind, the smiles on your loved ones, and the light in your soul. I am your moon goddess." Her voice was soft, yet strong. I felt taken aback that the moon goddess blessed both me and Beowulf with her presence. "My goddess excuse my inadequate." I stuttered out and she brought a hand up before waving me off.
"Dear child it is alright. This is a ceremony after all of the shifting of Beowulf Kham-Dao. Fifth generation of bloodline Kham-Dao royalty. Last bloodline to exist among all supernatural to have every supernatural blood inside of him."
My breath was lost from me. My son was the last link to be living. "I know this is a shock to you my dear child but it is true. I have blessed you with Beowulf for a reason, I have put much pain in your line of fire, but I have doused it with this handsome pup. You were to learn and grow from the pain."
"Why so much though dear goddess? My first mate rejected me, my second mate rejected me. Is there something wrong with me. Why curse me dear goddess?" She stared at me for a second, her face in deep thought. "I have put pain and heartbreak in your path for the sole reason of your finally test. This my child is your final test, to raise him right and teach him everything that a father can teach before passing him off to me. So that I can train him for the war that will come in his past. You will be happy and not just in father world, but also romantic love. Trust in me dear boy. Trust in me."
I listened to her intently. So many questions and thoughts passing through my mind but only one stood out to me. "What am I to tell them out there? About Beowulf's future position."
"Tell them he will be a simple warrior. Living up to his name, an intelligent wolf. His color was green, not gold. Make them believe Luca, his future depends on how you can act in this moment to your pack, because though they are your pack they will turn on you in fear."
I nodded my head at her words. My wolf inside of me listening intently to, we would protect our pup at all cost, even if it was our life that was on the line. She moved closer to me, before tipping her forehead to mines. Her skin cool to the touch. "I have faith in you my child, now just have faith in yourself." I didn't even notice my eyes closed but when they opened she was gone along with the gold liquid and in place was me and Beowulf.
My beautiful pup who stared up at me tiredly. I leaned down kissing his forehead before climbing out the water. Walking over to the entrance I looked back, the memory of what just happened playing over and over in my head. I will uphold my promise as I walked out to meet my pack. With a big smile on my face.
