"Beowulf!"

I watched as my son came around the corner playing with his new friend Cyrus who had shifted to human form quickly after Beowulf. The boys stared up at me innocently and my anger melted away as love quickly took over. He was too damn adorable to be mad at.

"What did I tell you about taking your shoes off when coming into the house after playing in the mud."

He stared and I sighed.

"Just don't do it again, okay?" I questioned and a smile lit his face before nodding his head.

"Yes, dada."

"Now off you too rascals go while I make some dinner." The boys bounded off and I watched as they shifted into their wolf side. Shaking my head again at yet another outfit ripped. I was already getting tired of having to continue to buy more clothes. I've been trying to teach him the proper way of shifting but he frankly doesn't care.

Turning away to continue my cleaning, I softly hummed to myself. My mate hasn't made an appearance and quite frankly I was glad to not deal with the drama I know she'll bring. I understand why she wanted to reject me but still, it hurts to know that she would actually do it.

Well who was I kidding, of course, she would do it, seeing as she is a vampire. Standing up I went to put the cleaning stuff away and went to wash my hands. I decided mac and cheese along with some hot dogs for dinner. Smiling I began cooking and was quite content with the quiet. Finishing up, I sat the plates out before putting the food on it.

"Beowulf," I called out as I walked out the dining room. I watched as my tiny pup run up to me. Bending down I bundled him up in my arms. Kissing the crown of his head, I whispered. "Can Beowulf shift back for dada." I heard whimpering before the transformation of one species to the others.

I understand the reluctance to him wanting to shift back. It's so easy for pups to forget that they have to shift back. "Dada, food." I snickered. "Yes, Beowulf we're going to eat food."

"Me likey food." His adorable high pitch voice said. Smiling at him I nodded my head. "I like food too Beowulf." He nodded his head, his white hair falling in his face. Pushing it back softly I leaned down and kissed his forehead. I couldn't help but want to imprint my scent into his skin. Parental instinct kicking in at the thought of someone touching him.

A frown took a hold of my face before Beowulf reached up and smoothed the creases of my forehead. "Dada smile." He put a smile on his face as if showing me. "Yes, smile." I smiled at him and he gave me a thumbs up. "Now eat little man, don't you want to grow up to be big and strong." Nodding he began eating.

I smiled in pride. My boy Beowulf.
