Chapter 1

Well to start off hi it's me JJ for short. i've been bullied mostly all my life, you want to know why???? it's because of my apparent skin color. One day i came into school as a dark skinned girl and now im light skin almost white, they call me snow white, snowflake, dandruff, lice and ever light bulb. Im just as confused as anyone else, i just don't understand why out of all the kids here i have to be the one to get picked on. First of all im African American, also known as black but im a little lighter then my actual color. I don't know why this happens but the doctor say's it's because im getting colder by the minute. An somehow i feel warm. Did that make sense????? i don't think so 'im getting colder' what does that mean........ well anyways everyday at school i will arrive really early and leave very early cause of all the torment. I hate it here, it's either i get bullied for being me, or get harassed for trying to fit it. I can never choose one. Even though i come to school early, i did make some friends in the time being. Josh, maddy, Kevin, Colin, Matt, and this one girl that's like me but i dont talk to her. She is a creep lol. As i am walking down the hallway i see maddy.  She's my favorite dickhead haha

"hey maddy" i said walking up to her

"hey JJ your getting a little pale there" she said analyzing my skin color as i got closer

"yeah i know hahahahaha and you know this man. i come to you and im always turning a little lighter then expected" i said, i had the biggest crush on her and i think she knew it but i always second guess myself

"but how do you get like this??" she looks a little confused

"i dont know, but the doctor said im getting colder by the minute" i said in a confused way

"ohh well i mean it's okay we still love you" she says while putting a hand on my shoulder

"haha yea well you know we got class in like a couple of mins right?" i said

"yes i know that we got class, come on ill walk you to class and then pick you up when school ends to bring you home" she says.

She holds me hand and whisk me off to class dragging me like a damn toy lol. I love every last minute of it. I was thinking about how funny we are together. I smirked as i looked at her lovingly. While we walked around and down hallways i got a sick feeling in my stomach. I ached for a little bit before it turned from sickness to panic and fear. This one hallway made me tense, it was like something was coming for m....

"owww" she yelled letting go of my hand

I lost my train of thought and looked worriedly at maddy.

"whats wrong maddy??" i said

" you scratched me" she explained

"what? how i don't have any......." then looking at my hand seeing claws i didn't know what to do or say. I started at my hands not knowing where these claws came from. I quickly shoved my hands in my pockets and looked up to maddy

" im.. im.. im sorry for that maddy" i said confused but mad at myself for scratching her

" no it's okay JJ, i just need a band aid" she said then holding my hand again but just on the other side

" ohh okay ill walk you there" i said

"no you will make the kids see you and you will get upset again JJ" she said and she had a point cause i do that a lot

"i'll be fine just don't let my hoodie go down" i said putting up my hoodie so then people don't see my face.

As we left the area and i still wondered what made me freeze like that. I know i'm a shy person but why did i just stop like that and get all defensive. As i looked at the floor and wondered if my best friends was okay she said something

" well alright just don't get sad when i told you so" As i tried to keep my hoodie from falling off she pulled me down the hallway looking for the nurses office. We swerved in and out of people while everybody is pushing shoving telling me and her to move, get out the way, or go somewhere. As the bell rang as a warning for kids to get to class...

" ahh i found it come on" she announced to me

It's like she had me ever seen the nurses office before. As we were walking in my hoodie got yanked off by some jerks

"look we found snow white hahaha" he laughed with his crew

I knew i wasn't going to do anything, so i looked to the floor and i thought it wasn't funny. But as people passed by everybody started to laugh. I got more and more embarrassed and i ran into the nurses office. I over hear maddy talk about her speech on how i'm different and that fine. Some of the kids laughed at her, but it felt like some of the kids didn't laugh. Oh did i tell you i have supernatural hearing? No well you know now. After maddy speech i hear that he words are getting more and more sluggish.

" you know.... shes...differ.." she said like a shouting down robot

I opened the door and looked at outside to see that she passed out because of blood lose. I picked her up, cradled her and walked back into the office. Someone tried to trip me as i was walking back in the office, but i just stepped over their foot and locked the door behind me.

The bell rang and i had the erge to pick her up and put her in the car and drive off, but i was scared that i might hurt her again. I pondered on why or where these claws came from. As i looked at my hands i started to tear up. I don't want to hurt my best friend.
An hour later ***

"uhhhh my head hurts....." she said then i stopped her from saying anything else by picked her up and bringing her to the her car

" what are you doing" she looked at me confused

"walking to the car" i plainly said

"the school is that way though" she pointed behind me

" i know, but you fainted and is bleeding a lot so i'm going to take care of you the right way" i said looking down at her for a second

"ummmm..... and what happened to your eyes Jordan????? she said confused.

"what do you mean" i said.

"umm jordan i don't think you will have school tomorrow so ill just bring you home so you can rest and then text me on Facebook when you wake up, ok?" she said as i put her down in the passenger seat.

" but why, because of my eyes, or because of me picking you up like a baby" i said while pinching her cheeks

" no, your staying home tomorrow just promise me you won't leave your house" she said while looking concerned

" yes i promise" hey what can i say i can't say no to her.

After that it was a quiet ride home, i drove to the house as she made waves in the air. I looked over to see if she was okay every once in a while, and after a few rights and lefts we got to my house. We said our goodbyes and i asked if she was okay going home alone and she reassured me that everything would be alright. I looked at her, an i said alright and off she went home.
