(Wolf POV)

Wolf was lead to a secret building in the outskirts of Riuex. He didn't have to ask, Scarlet was here.

Wolf got out of the hover and followed the man who brought him here. He still didn't like him, or trust him for that matter, but if Scarlet was here what choice did he have? None.

While they were walking, Wolf took in the building.

It was an old building that, from the looks of it, used to be a prison. It wasn't used. Hadn't been for years. It was five story's tall and wider than a school. it was made of bricks and had ivy and vines climbing up the walls like a latter. The windows were blacked out, and the door had a metal bar across it.

When the man, he still hadn't told Wolf his name and he wasn't going to ask for it, got to the door he unwrapped the bar from the the door with apparent ease.

He stood back and offer a mock bow. "After you." He held the door open for Wolf to enter.

He hesitated. When he crossed, there was no turning back. He would never see Scarlet again after she was released, he was sure. But, if meant he could save her, he would do anything.

Wolf took a deep breathe, and crossed the threshold

(Scarlet POV)

Scarlet felt as if she could vomit right on the floor, that was how terrible she felt. When she refused to obey their orders, then they shocked her with a shock rod in the stomach multiple times. She also had one on her neck when she denied them her last name.

She felt awful. She felt helpless. Trapped. With no way out.

She was just about to fall into a blessed sleep when the door to her room opened. And inside the doorway was none other than, Zion.

How she hated him. He had been the one to poke her all those times with the shock rod. He had taken pleasure in it.

He was now standing above her, a smug grin curled on his lips. Satisfaction oozing from him. She had no clue why, but she needn't wonder very long.

"Your boyfriend's here. Come on, we'll take you to him," He walked over to her and unchained her. The chains fell harmlessly to the ground. Scarlet rubbed her wrist. They had indentations from the weight of the chains. They hurt, but the pain was minimal to the feeling now bubbling inside of her. Wolf was here. He came for me! That was all she could get her head around. All she knew was that Wolf had come for her.

When she got to the room that she was brought to earlier, she stopped dead in her tracks. Guns pointed at his head, hands lax at his side, stood her alpha. When he saw her, she could have sworn he stopped breathing. He was staring at her neck.

The burns! It just dawned on her that he could probably see the burns from the shock rod. Her hand came up to cover the burns.

"You said you didn't hurt her. That includes burning her. You lied. You lied!" Wolf practically growled, he was so furious. His whole body tensed up, his hands clenched, muscles tighten, and his teeth ground together.

"Ze'ev, it's fine. I'm fine. It didn't hurt too bad. Besides, it doesn't hurt now," Scarlet's voice was tinged with emotion. She couldn't seem to help it. Tears started to fall silently to the ground.

Wolf took a step forward towards her, unmindful of the click of a dozen or so safety's being released as he did so. Scarlet didn't care either. She just started crying and stepping towards him.

She fell into his embrace. He held her tight like he would lose her if she let go. The feeling was entirely mutual. Wolf pulled back slightly, not enough to break the embrace, but enough to look at her face.

Scarlet had tear streaks down her face, but her lips were curled into a smile. She looked up at him, wanting little more than you kiss him. Wolf must have been thinking along the same lines because as soon as the thought entered her mind, Wolf bent his head and kissed her so possessively. Her arms moved to circle his neck to press their lips more firmly together.

When they separated, they both had their pulse beating erratically in their ear, their breathing harsh, and their grip not loosening a little.

"Come on you two. Time for the trade," Zion said this with great relish.

He motioned for two men to grab Scarlet and another four to grab Wolf.

"What's happening, what do you mean trade?" Scarlet was so confused, she didn't even fight back the hands that took a hold of her arms.

"Well, dear Scarlet," Zion stepped closer and Wolf growled deep in his throat, his arms tightening around her, he wouldn't let those men separate them.

"Ze'ev over here made a deal." He stepped closer to Scarlet, Wolf's arms tightened again, but Zion still reached and grasped Scarlet chin. Wolf's growl vibrated through her.

"Ze'ev, traded his life for yours. So, we are trading his life for yours. We won't kill you. But," his smile was so sickening, he leaned closer to Scarlet, his lips touching her ear, "you'd be surprised at what you can live through."

"Ze'ev, what is he talking about?" Scarlet had locked her arms around his neck in a death grip after shaking off the arms on hers.

"I'm sorry, Scar. It's the only way to make sure you are safe. I'm so sorry," Wolf really was sorry. If he was right about these people then he would never see Scarlet again. Ever. He wouldn't see her bright brown eyes, he wouldn't see her full red lips smile ever again. He was losing a lot, but it was worth it to see that Scarlet was safe.

"How could you do that?!" Scarlet's tears were waterfalls on her face. They wouldn't stop and the kept coming with more. Wolf hated seeing her like this. He wished it didn't have to be this way. But it was for the best. Scarlet would be safe.

"I'm sorry, but it's for the best. I can't stand to lose you. Not again."

"And what do you think you are doing to me?! I can't lose you! I can't, you mean everything to me. You're all I have left," She was sobbing into his chest now. Her heart was breaking. His heart was breaking too. He hated seeing her cry for any reason. He hated himself for being the cause of her tears.

"I'm sorry but if it means keeping you safe I won't hesitate to do it. You know would that," Wolf reached to stroke her hair an - CRASH!

Out of nowhere an explosion blew the door down, and in walked -

Thorne? That is not Thorne, it can't be. Can it? No. But it was and Cinder and Iko with Cress following with a very small, but very powerful looking electronic device.

"Scarlet Wolf run, now!" They didn't have to be told twice. They got up and ran for the nearest exit. Wolf knocked anyone out of the way who tried to stop them.

By the time Scarlet and Wolf stopped running, they were outside looking at the Rampion. They didn't hesitate to get in and go to the room they used to occupy.

When they got to the room they shut the door and drop onto the bed. Scarlet crawls toward him and snuggles up close to him and wraps her arms around his chest, afraid to let go.

Wolf didn't object. He wanted it as much as she did. Needed it as much as she did. He looked into her eyes and she looked into his. Then, as if they were thinking the same thing. They moved their heads together until their lips touch and caressed the others.

They had so much passion and longing in that kiss it was overwhelming and sweet at the same time.

When they both felt as if their lung shriveled up and had no air, they separated.

They didn't speak about those weeks ever again. And they stayed together most of the time. They loved each other so much, they couldn't bare anything happening to the other.
