"Come on up!"

Cress walked up on stage and took the offered microphone.

"What song?"

"'Symphony' by Zara Larsson."

"I've been hearing symphonies,

Before all I heard was silence,

A rhapsody for you and me,

And every melody was timeless,

Life was stringing me along,

And then you came and you cut me loose,

Solo singing on my own,

And now I can't find the key without you,

And now your song is on repeat,

And I'm dancing on to your heartbeat,

And when you're gone I feel incomplete,

So if you want the truth,

I just wanna be part of your Symphony,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

Symphonies,

Like a love song on the radio,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

I'm sorry if it's all too much,

Every day you're here I'm healing,

And I was running out of luck,

I never thought I'd find this feeling,

Cause I've been hearing symphonies,

Before all I heard was silence,

A rhapsody for you and me,

And every melody was timeless,

And now your song is on repeat,

And I'm dancing on to your heartbeat,

And when you're gone I feel incomplete,

So if you want the truth,

I just want to be part of your Symphony,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

Symphony,

Like a love song on the radio,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

And now your song is on repeat,

And I'm dancing on to your heartbeat,

And when you're gone I feel incomplete,

So if you want the truth,

I just wanna be part of your Symphony,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

Symphony,

Like a love song on the radio,

Symphony,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

Symphony,

Like a love song on the radio,

Will you hold me tight and not let go,

Cress was breathless when she finished.

But the audiences reactions were the complete opposite to Scarlet's.

It was immediate noise. All of it load and positive.

As Cress was getting off the stage, a guys came up to her, grabbed her by the waist and pulled her against him.

"Hey, you wanna be part of my Symphony?" He gave her a smile that would have melted her heart if it wasn't already claimed.

"Um, I'm sorry, but I have a boyfriend." Cress had hoped this would get rid of him, hut she was sorely disappointed. The man just pulled her closer to him, and cupped he cheek.

"He doesn't have to know."

"Oh yes he does." Said a mysterious voice from behind Cress.

She turned her head.

"Captain!"

"Hey, you know this guy?" The man was looking Thorne up and down with distrust.

"Yes, he is my boyfriend. The one I was telling you about, remember?" Cress rolled her eyes.

The man just smirked.

"Well, he will just have to wait and have his turn. I'm not done with you yet." He lips came down to take hers.

Cress tried to get away from him, but his grip was like iron.

That was the moment Thorne grabbed Cress away from the man and held her safely against his chest. She grabbed his jacket lapels and pulled closer to him.

"You touch her again, and you will wish your mama had kept her legs closed. Got it?" Thorne was giving him a death glare bad enough to o make the guy have an accident in his pants.

"Fine, whatever. Bye sweetheart." He winked at Cress, and she just shuddered and went deeper into Thorne's embrace.

"Let's go back to the booth with the others and forget this ever happened, okay?" Thorne was looking down at her as she rubbed her lips with the hem of her shirt, exposing a bit of her tummy to him.

Thorne just stared at it until she was done, by that time her was blushing and wishing she would kiss him.

Almost as if she read him mind, Cress stood on her tip-toes and gave him a peck on the lips.

"Sure, let's get to the booth." Cress was smiling ear to ear j fer a light blush.
