Chapter 12 - Carnival

A/n: This chapter is basically just Sadie and Noah, sorry.
Sadie's POV: I sat in front of the mirror in Millie and I's bedroom frantically applying make up to my face. Since all four of us are going to the carnival, I thought I would look good for Noah. I really like him, but despite Millie's reassurance, I can't help but think that all his acts of kindness are just friendly gestures. I mean, why would a guy like Noah date me? After applying my last layer of lip gloss on, I looked at the mirror, and smiled in approval. I looked genuinely good. Hopefully tonight goes well.
--time skip to Carnival--
Noah's POV:
Once we arrived at the carnival, I took the initiative to get Sadie and I alone. I knew how much Millie and Finn hated roller coasters, and that Sadie loved them, so I proposed that we go on a rollercoaster first. Of course Millie and Finn protested, but then decided we would go our separate ways, judging as no one wanted to go on the same rides. Sadie and I went on a few rides together, and were enjoying ourselves, but it was just friendly talk, and I waned to show her that I liked her. As we were walking by the carnival games, I noticed the giant ferries wheel near the water. I suggested that we ride it and of course Sadie agreed. The line wasn't too long, so in no time, we were up in the air. The ride went slowly, but that gave us a lot of time to take in the view. My gaze slowly drifted from the rest of the carnival to Sadie. I saw her starting at the view in aw. She was gorgeous, and I needed to tell her how I felt. "It's so beautiful" Sadie whispered. "Yeah" I said in agreement, "but do you know what's even more beautiful?" I asked. She looked at me with questioning eyes and shook her head. "You" I said in a barely audible whisper. Sadie's cheeks blushed bright red as well as mine. "Th-thanks" she said shyly. Now's my chance. "Sadie," I began, "I like you, a lot, and I have for a while now, and I understand if you don't like me ba-" I was cut off by Sadie's lips against mine. I was taken aback at first, but smiled into the kiss. As we pulled away, Sadie said, "Noah I like you too". A huge grin grew on my face and I asked, "do you want to go out with me sometime?". "Of course" Sadie replied. This is definitely a night I will remember forever. I can't believe I had my first kiss!
