My little one on one session with the principal lasted for an eternity.
"That was an antique"... "extremely rude and careless"... "I'm so disappointed in you"... All the bullshit just filtered in one ear and out the other.
"I'll give you a detention but your mother won't hear of this" that was the only thing that stuck.
I lit up, so glad to hear that it would be between us. Oh and the Library.
"Thank you so much Mr. Paitron, I assure you it won't happen again" I said genuinely.
He nodded me off and I left with haste.
I smuggled my phone out of my pocket and saw 10 new messages from Kayla.
"OMFG J! Was that you?" read one of her texts....
"Classic, worse than my hair!"....
"scratch that -.- nothing is worse than my sitch, catch you later..."
The there was a message from Kent.
it read "I'm here, waiting."
I began to walk, then pace, then jog, then run and then sprint. I was running to Kent, As fast as my legs would carry me. When I finally got behind the cafeteria I found him leaning ( rather cooley) against the wall.
I heaved breathlessly.
" I.... was... in..." I begun between recovery breaths, before he picked me up and slammed me against the wall kissing me passionately.
I thought being slammed against a wall would hurt to be honest, but all I felt was his lips against mine.
His hand rest about 2 inches above my head and he loomed over me. I could hear the Vampire Diaries music thudding in the background when Damon and Elana kissed. As we kissed I could feel his grinding movement, he was really into it, so why wasn't I?
He sensed my discomfort, and pulled away almost abrubtly. His face still so close to mine. His beautiful eyes piercing mine. His breath, heavy but minty rested in intervals on my cheeks.
"I tried to hold back" he grinned, he knew I liked the spontaneousness of the moment.
He drew back further and then walked away. Just like that. Leaving me like a newly opened drink, my fizz was barely even out of my bottle.
One of the perks of friends with benefits I supposed.
School seemed to go by in a blink after that, and after that blink I found my way walking home because I'd missed the bus.
My brain hurt, and I was beginning to feel the slight ache on my back.
Then out of no where I hear the rumbling of a cheetah sprinting for it's pray. The Motorbike roared at me, it was almost alluring. I was prepared to watch it go by but it stopped. just where I was it stopped. I searched for a helmet but of course there was none. It was Cole.
"Cole?" I asked, beginning to think that I hit my head during that kiss.
"This must be fate" he called as the traffic raced by.
He got of his bike to greet me.
I opened my arms for a hug, as one does, little did I know that it would feel so good.
The minute we embraced I felt no pain, my head was clear and I felt so safe. I know, in the arms of this daredevil I felt safe?! He held me close enough to hear his relaxed heartbeat. Then I realised how low his hands were and pulled away.
"What are you?-"
"I thought it was you, I spotted you literally a mile away" he stated, proud of his correctness.
"Stalking me now? You know, in the eyes of many... that's illegal" I played.
He smiled, genuinely. I liked his smile. I liked him.
"So here's the plan hot stuff, we're gonna go to some quaint little cafe somewhere and you are going to treat me to a 'thank you for bringing back to consciousness' thing" he said with a commanding tone, but only a hint.
"Sure." I returned.
"Sure" he repeated.
I followed him to his bike and tried to get on. He eventually lifted me ( like I was a feather) and placed me gently on the back seat. Before he hopped on slyly.
"No helmets?" I asked quite concerned.
He chuckled, "Hold on" I could see the grin on his face in my mind. I launched my hands around him and I heard the start of the engine. His toned abdomen was quite something. Not like Kents, they were both different in a way.
We zoomed off onto the main road, passing my house and all I felt was familiar, it passed me in one big blur.
Then finally, to my great pleasure we came to a halt, right opposite to a cafe. It was Italian styled and beautifully decorated.
Once we sat down and ordered, I finally had a moment to breathe.
I found my bearings again and caught him staring at me, I looked at him to try and deter his eyes but he was solid as a rock, and had locked me in.
"You are a special one you know? Your face is magnificent" he said .
"Flattery gets you everywhere" I returned.
We sat in silence for a few moments.
Until the food came, immediately I held up my glass toward the middle of the table.
"To consciousness"
"To consciousness"
We both took a sip of our beverage, eyes on lock.
When I put my glass down I felt all the curiosity fill my body.
"So" I begun "how did you get into paramedics?" I asked
"it's a part time job thing, I use the money to maintain that bad boy" he gestured to the bike smugly.
"So how old does that make you?" I asked, so curious.
"17. " ... "and a half" he added later.
I smiled to myself knowing that he was definitely an option.
Kent popped up once or twice in my mind during the duration of the meal but I found it made me want to flaunt my new found freedom even more.
Eventually I realised that I had no idea where I even was. It alarmed me.
"Where are we by the way?" I asked trying to contain my panic.
"Just a town away from home, chill" he said Cooley.
he could read me like an open children's book, where the letters are bigger than life.
"You wanna get out of here?" he said, almost looking bored with the scene.
I nodded and left the cash on the table.
We walked outside and past his bike, our hands locked and he led the way. I put my life in his hands, this was a whole new feeling for me.
Pretty soon we arrived at this lake. it was perfectly still, and it reflected The crimson sunset like a freshly polished mirror. Looking down toward my feet where the beginning of the lake was I saw our reflection. I fell in love with his face. And to be frank, we looked good together.
He left my hands and disappeared for a time of 2 minutes and then returned with a relativly large sailing boat.
"Hop in" he called.
I hastily did as he said. And then we set off.
