"it's okay, Leo, it's fine. i'm here. cry it all out," she kept repeating, as she rubbed his back. saying as much comforting things as possible, she mulled over the fact that he haa been through so much pain and she did not even realize.

"it hurts so much, Winter. so much." he sniffed, wiping his eyes with his sleeve.

he seemed so vulnerable, so different from the Leo she knew.

and, as if he was a little kid, his hand clamped over his heart. "right here... it hurts so much right here."

she wanted to break into tears right there and then.

but she mustered enough strength and held them back.

"let it all out. but, you must let go, okay? i know it hurts, i know, but it is a sad reality...and we have to stay strong." she didn't know why she was saying such awful things.

"i will always be here. i'll never leave you, Leo."

he glanced up and his dull green eyes met her midnight ones.

"never?"

"never."

and his once dull eyes now held a sparkle in them.
