Leo and Winter spent more 'happy' days after that.
he never forgot about his mom, of course, but Winter helped him pull through.
and he was ever so grateful.
he also found out that her own mother had died when she was young. she did not really remember much, as she was only about 3 years old.
they shared their everyday troubles with each other and only grew closer with each passing day.
and both realized that they have never been this happy before.
"hey, bench buddy."
Winter was staring at the sky, her eyes following the slow-moving clouds.
"hm?" she asked, her eyes never leaving the clouds.
"uh, nevermind."
"what is it?"
"nothing. hey, close your eyes."
she complied.
he leaned in.
she felt a peck on her cheek.
he quickly pulled away.
her eyes snapped open.
his eyes sheepishlu trailed her jaw-dropped face.
"..did you ju-?"
"yep."
they both turned as red as tomatoes.
