Daedalus spun around with a creepy evil smile on his face. He picked up a knife off the wall and threw it straight at Maddy. She dodged it easily. She ran across the room while Daedalus was busy with Lana, who was shooting at him relentlessly.
What do I do?! Maddy thought. If she could somehow find a way to trap Daedalus in the workshop and burn it down...
Daedalus seemed to get bored with being shot at and approached Maddy with a silver sword the length of her leg. She tried to back up slowly but tripped over some invention that involved chains and wheels. Her foot was somehow caught in it. He raised his sword. I refuse to die like this. Maddy thought angrily. He was standing right over her now. Lana screamed. Maddy covered her face with her hands and braced herself.
Then, she heard Daedalus yell and his sword clatter to the floor. She looked up just in time to see him disslove into dust. Standing there, holding a celestial bronze sword, was Cottus.
"Cottus!" Maddy exclaimed. Lana ran over and they both tackled him in a hug. It was slightly awkward, what with the hundred hands and all.
