Badass Countrygirl : Chapter 17

HEEEEYYY! I'm finally back! I'm so sorry for being such a lazyass for the whole year! I'll promise to continue this summer! :) 

Thanks to all the readers, new ones, and old ones! And btw, if I get lazy again, or won't update, u can message me and scold me to write a new chapter. 

This chapter bit sucks, just a filler, to get back on track. 

So what happened before? If you're too lazy ( like me :3) to read the previous chapter, I'll tell you. 

When Will and Joanne arrived back to Will's place, they found out, that Will's father's business is not going good.  No miracle, Joanne and Will are fighting again. Oh yeah, Will asked Joanne out.

I woke up to something. Some noise. With my eyes closed, I listened quietly. There was a thunderstorm outside, it was raining bad.  I opened my eyes, the lightning flashed outside and few seconds later came also the thunder. My phone had stuck to my cheek, so I placed it on the ground. Thunder wasn't the noise. It flashed again, now the thunder was even louder.  

"Joaaannneee!" cried a voice.

 Johnnie! I stood up immediately and opened my door. Johnnie was standing there with a stuffed monkey and tears rolling down his cheeks. 

"Oh Johnnie!" I hugged him really tight. He clung to me with his hands, I picked him up and carried him to my bed. He didn't let me go when I sat on the bed. He was sniffing and his arms were wrapped around me tightly. I stroked his head.

"Thunder scares you?" I asked him.

"Y-yes," he said. When another thunder sounded, he clung to me even more. I stood up with him and closed the curtains. I grabbed my phone and headphones and lay back on the bed again. 

"Put these in your ears" I told Johnnie. He did as I told. I turned on the playlist I listen when I can't sleep. He curled himself, placing his head on my chest and closed his eyes. I lay the blanket on us and closed my eyes too.

When I opened my eyes, Johnnie was playing with my phone. He had found Angry Birds. Then I felt a not-so-pleasant smell.

"Johnnie, did u fart?" I asked with my sleepy voice.

He giggled and said and nodded. I groaned, stood up and opened a window. 

"Come on Johnnie, let's get some breakfast."

"Noo! Must kill green monsters!" he replied, without even looking away from the game. 

"Let's go, Johnnie!" I said when i started to drag him by his feet, he giggled at it. Finally, I got him to the kitchen. Dad and Carl were there. 

"Good morning, dear," my dad said with a smile. Damn that felt odd. But good. Soon,  James joined us. The environment was friendly, it felt like a family to me. But that changed when Will stepped in. 

"Good morning, everybody," he said. Everyone else replied him, but not me. 

He sat down to eat. There was tension between us, everyone could feel it, because everyone was now really quiet. I didn't even glance at Will, but I felt his gaze on me. I finished my breakfast as soon as I could. 

"Johnnie, do you want to come outside with me?" I asked him. He nodded and followed me.

We played together by the lake. It made me forget about all the worries. Then, I saw Will heading towards us. 

"Why are you ignoring me?" he asked.

"I'm not ignoring you," I replied, without turning towards him.

"You obviously are, you acted like I wasn't there at breakfast."

"Yeah, and I obviously have my reasons..."

"Will you just please talk to me normally?" he was rising his voice.

"No," I answered shortly.

"Why?!" 

"Because you will pick a fight again!" shouted Johnnie. That left us both speechless.

I stood up, and said to Will : "You heard him"
